  1. Very boring match but we were in complete control. We desperately need to stop playing ourselves into trouble on the break considering just how few times we have a chance to hit opponents on the counter, we have to be clinical and we are missing something in the final third, thankfully we are very obviously well above this level and our class keeps "saving" us in terms of getting the results over the line, but we really need to be getting that second goal earlier and burying the game. 10 points clear of the playoffs already. Enzo so far is showing huge promise, and could well be on his way to the top in the future. Hopefully we can keep him interested in our project and give him the financial backing and contract needed to keep him here should this form continue. Long way to go yet but once again another largely stress free weekend.

  3. Something still isnt clicking, not sure what it is but we make hard work of most of our chances

  5. Something is really missing in that final third for us. Can't quite put my finger on it other than stop being shit at finishing. But overall we just don't really have the ability to create chances when they arise, we seem to play ourselves into trouble. Kel is actually scoring now, but apart from his goal he really has not been able to do anything, we have not created much for him either.

  7. I think theres 2 sides to the coin here, on one side in the premier league we are not very likely to come up against opposition that sit with 11 players in their own box, so we would likely have more space to pass into. On the other, premier league teams would be far better as a unit to defend. I think one issue we may run into is if we continue as we are and get promoted, we still won't have any idea whether our system can work, and whether our players are good enough to play it against better opposition. Burnley are finding out the hard way.
  8. Damn, just no end product from anyone really. Our goals seem to come from moments of brilliance amongst countless wasted opportunities.
  9. We are completely in control but could easily suffer a lapse. I know Enzo said that Faes tends to switch off but I think there is always going to be an element in that when you have the ball for 80% of the game but barely produce any real chances against low block teams. We need to be more clinical and finish these games off. Hopefully as stoke push forward we can punish them.
  10. I'm still having therapy from our side last season
  11. Our press isn't always perfect but we are so well drilled, I keep watching players off the ball shifting into positions being left vacant by our players pressing, seeing KDH pressing and Casadei instantly moving into that space to cover Stokes passing lanes is just so nice. We look like we have an actual identity again and the players know what they are expected to do. Such a huge contrast to the last 2.5 years.
  12. It's absolutely mad to think last season I'd have happily shipped out 95% of our squad and probably blocked most of them out of my memory, and only a few months later I can't choose which one I'd most like to run a bath for, i'd light candles and put some Radox in there
  13. This, honestly thought Coady was the signing of the summer for us, but now I feel like with a fully fit squad, Faes and Vesty have to start.
  14. Have to say, the tempo does put me off sometimes (not today) but overall when I look at how we play and how we approach the game. I can't help but think Enzo is going straight to the top.
  15. Yeah he's got a pretty diverse range of passes but I absolutely love seeing a winger absolutely hammer one fast and head height into the box, proper whipped crosses like that are a nightmare to deal with and only need a tiny touch from a striker, or a defelection from a centre back, especially against defenders that are pretty tall and don't really have quick feet. Lovely to see!
  16. I swear to god
  17. If he does i'm buying a ring
  18. I just love how we've all gone from thinking he was a hasbeen and talking about how he's stealing a living to all of us having feelings for him that we probably shouldnt

  20. Side note, this track is majestic to watch an onboard qualifying lap of, but it's a terrible track for racing imo. We desperately need smaller cars (or wider tracks).
  21. HUGE POLE!!! Love that for Oscar!
  22. @Beachyboy @moore_94 Can't reply to either comment for some reason, but both made the same good point
  23. For anyone who needs
  24. To be honest I think we have the quality to play any formation and rotation of players, if he'd come out with Mcateer in Central midfield and Daka upfront I still think if we do the basics we win. I guess this just gives players more opportunity to play more dynamic roles and learn new skills
