  1. Yeah he's very blood tidy isn't he, well worth snapping up on a permanent if he continues like this. Especially considering he's played about 4 positions this season. He's always popping up somewhere new.
  2. He's a premier league player again. Easily.
  3. It's amazing just how much better we are when we move the ball quickly with intent, this finishes 4-0.
  4. KDH really annoys me He's been pretty solid tonight, but he usually has a shocker then comes up with a moment of brilliance. Great finish, good reactions and that will now open up the game
  5. Normally I'd agree but the way Kel is playing this season I'd bring you on
  6. Maybe we can just bore them into a lapse of judgement?
  7. 100% this is always hard to break down for any teams, all we can do is continue what we are doing because we don't have the players to get on the end of crosses. Apart from taking more risks trying to play through them, all we can do is continue what we are doing but with a bit more urgency.
  8. True, but that's because we have created nothing
  9. I think this is our only real option since we don't have anyone to cross it into. I think the only way we open them up is to move the ball across the pitch faster and overload them, we are giving them too much time to organise themselves.
  10. I'd much rather see us take risks. We have far more quality than PNE and if we take risks to open up the game a bit more, we may well give them opportunities, but atleast it allows the spaces to open up for us to hit them on the break. This cannot work continuing how we are. PNE won't get tired at this tempo. We've given them a free 45 mins here. If we are planning to make the ball work for us, and tire out PNE through passing it around them, we are failing miserably in that respect.
  11. I think there are quite a few people giving too much credit to PNE so far tonight, make no mistake, most of us knew it would be like this where we have lots of possession and PNE sit back in their own box, but PNE have barely done anything, all they are doing is waiting a week for us to aimlessly put a ball into the box and mopping it up. It takes us 30+ seconds to get the ball from the right back to the left winger, and everytime we drag them out of position we give them a month to regroup. PNE are not playing that well, we are playing poorly, mainly in the tempo. If we continue to do what we are doing, but with a bit of urgency they will make a mistake. If we continue to play like this they will nick one. We are the problem here.
  12. Of course there are too many, we give them a week to position themselves. We keep transitioning the ball from the left wing to the right wing, and give them all the time they need to move across the pitch. The reason there is no space to shoot is because we are walking.
  13. It's a strange one isnt it, but we will likely play better football against better opposition. Although against better opposition we look very shaky out of possession so not sure which I'm more comfortable with
  14. Our defenders look so composed when we move the ball forward and pass progressively, the moment they have to defend it's like watching a team full of Sol Bambas
  15. It literally takes us 30+ seconds to make 3 passes from Faes > Coady > Justin > Mavididi. Pathetic.
  16. To be fair is it really possible to play badly when you're just aimlessly passing it across the back line, to the winger, then back to the back line again without being pressed? Need a fan to run on and shoot at this rate
  17. I think this is basically our tactical Achilles, Enzo seems completely unwilling to change anything. I will say your options are severely limited when the opposition play this way, but we are just repeating the same play over and over. Pass to winger, back to defender, pass it right across the back 4, over to the other winger and repeat aimlessly. It's way too easy to defend against us by just parking the bus. Need to try something different or atleast have the freedom to have a pop from range. Preston will mop this up all night.
  18. At serious risk of turning the match off if i'm honest
  19. I'm willing to overlook having less chances in this match as we knew that they would park the bus, but we NEED to create more with 82%, we desperately need a player who can sit outside the box and have a shot from range to start to drag these midfielders out. All they are doing is letting us play ourselves to death.
  20. Come on Patson, just want to see the Daka that Salzburg had. Really hoping he can get some time and finally hit form.
  21. Sheffield Wednesday are right up the creek. For a long time there have been ex players talking about Chansiri the owner constantly meddles in the dressing room and forces managers to play specific ways, over the past few years he has managed to snake oil his way into basically having the club over a barrel. Thought he could spend his way out of the league with Carlos Carvalhal in charge (whilst also meddling with his management of the club) and almost succeeded, spending about £40m in 3 seasons (apparently on many players that Carlos Carvalhal did not even want, on huge wages). Once that failed for the 3rd year in a row, he sacked one of the best managers they have had in years. For years, he has been one of the main sponsors of the club around the stadium, cutting himself cheap deals to use the club as advertisement for his business, after his small spending spree and failure to get promotion, he "saved the club" from FFP, by selling the stadium.... to himself via his business. After "saving" the club, he has basically refused to invest into the club in terms of transfers since the 17/18 season. The club have been doing poorly commercially for a while now because of Chansiris mismanagement and they are now in a position where he is having to invest £2m a month of his own money to keep the club afloat. He has just announced he is removing this funding, so expecting huge cutbacks and an even more inevitable decline into relegation until someone comes up with an offer. Having followed this club for many years, Chansiri is the type of arrogant owner that would rather see the club go into administration than sell the club for an offer below his own valuation. He's the epitome of a dangerous football club owner that would rival the Oystons, a stain on the game. There are so many other stories that ex players have told and other wild details that you could go into when you scratch below the surface of Wednesday that really show us just how lucky we are (even with the mess we have found ourselves in). Really hope someone comes in with an offer for Wednesday, but even then, Chansiri will value the club well over what it's worth, and even when he sells it, he owns the ground now, I expect any potential bidder for the club will just wait for him to take them into administration before bidding. What a mess.
  22. I don't think the injury will be a long one to be honest, when he first pulled up and went down, it honestly looked like he was brought to tears so I was thinking he'd had a proper tear, but once he got up and started moving by the time he was around the pitch he was walking on it, albeit gingerly. I think if he'd done a big injury he would be avoiding putting weight on it let alone walking off.
  23. Looking past the slight gripes I have with the way we play at times. Enzo has done an absolutely phenomenal job, far more than I think any of us expected, we were in serious decline, the sort of decline that can swallow clubs if we don't make the right appointment, the sort of decline that clubs end up in League 1 from. Enzo has come in, completely stopped the rot, turned the players attitudes around, brought in some young, hungry talent with a point to prove alongside proven quality, we are spending far more than anyone else in the league and with that for the teams that get relegated there is often an arrogance that with that quality we should trounce the league, but not with this group, we are working for it and delivering based not only on quality but on effort. I don't want to get too carried away because things can change very quickly, but the early signs show Enzo is building a blueprint here, rebuilding the strong ethos and foundation that was left by Pearson/Ranieri/Puel. He was a gamble when you consider the more proven names we could have gone for, big credit to Rudkin also on this appointment (not ignoring he's a big reason we are here though). We have a long way to go, especially financially as I think we are potentially in trouble if we throw this away and don't go up, we still have a lot of players on big wages to clear out, but we look to be heading once again in the right direction. Vestergaard and Wilfred Ndinho have been the standouts for me, 2 of the worst players in the club over the last couple of seasons completely revitalised, and I don't think it's down to the level of opposition, they way they are playing right now they are showing they are a class above this level. Hamza has also been a huge breath of fresh air since coming in, really surprised by how easily he's slotted in to what is relatively quite a complex role as an inverted fullback. Very positive signs in a very short period of time!
