  1. Was also told that the sacking never happened, reporters overheard Vichai ranting about the result and mentioned sacking but it never happened. When the news broke it caught them cold as they didn’t know what was happening. Totaly agree, the crime was dismantling the set up that Pearson built when Rodgers was manager. That set up covered a lot of the ills that we’re seeing now. If Top had any sense he’d be working on bringing people in to make us a functioning football club again which would probably have a bigger impact than any budget signing we got in the next week or so. Enzo had discussions in the summer with the club about bringing more people in above him to assist those already there, the club agreed but he then left. Why didn’t the club restructure and put these people in place even though Enzo then left, surely they saw that it was needed, surely they can see that what they’re doing now isn’t working year after year and something needs to change. If they had put this into action they’d have probably avoided much of the reaction we're seeing now and if they had any sense they’d be working to get good football people in now to start the restructuring process as it’s only going one way otherwise. Their internal review should have highlighted this, did the trust ever ask for the results of that review?
  2. I was told that the idea was that Top would run them to gain experience for eventually taking over from Vichai here. Unfortunately Top had to take over here a lot sooner than planned after his father’s death.
  3. Unfortunately I think you're right. Swindon got relegated years ago while spurs got away with similar a few years before.
  4. I keep seeing people saying the efl are going to hammer us next season if we go down but on what grounds? We’re still in arbitration with the premier league so they can’t touch us for that and we cleared psr for last season so can’t impose an embargo on us. Am I missing something?
  5. Didn’t luton get hit with a 30 point deduction when their new owners went to the league after they discovered irregularities from the previous owners. I know it’s different leagues/bodies but it highlights how ridiculous the situation is that there’s different rules and penalties depending on what league you’re in.
  6. That’s awful. It’s just as bad that no one else seen what was happening and stopped it. Surely he has grounds for complaint. Whats Brad doing now?
  7. Exactly, if you wanted to get something in it wouldn't be hard. They're treating everyone like a hooligan when there wasn't a problem in the first place.
  8. Just a couple of points, did the old announcer really get binned off for that interview? I thought it was just something people had decided on here. Secondly I’d not heard about the club contacting people criticising the club, disgraceful behaviour, would love to know the details if anyone would post them. Good article though bringing together the smaller details circling around the main issues. Hate the search before you go in, it’s taking football back to the 80’s.
  9. Just a thought, but don’t they close the roads round the ground about an hour before kick off. Would you need to get it in and park it?
  10. I can just see it now. Rudkin will finally play a blinder and shift all the players out and only then find out we’re under an embargo and can’t sign anyone.
  11. Am fully expecting some “rumours” to be circulated after the weekends chants.
  12. Until the Martians learnt the rules.
  13. I think the bottom 3 will be cut adrift by mid Feb, unfortunately I think we'll be in there.
  14. I was suffering from low blood pressure in July.
  15. Got to say I'm impressed with how loud the chant was, didn't think it would happen.
  16. Huth. Without him we’d have gone down and everything that followed wouldn’t have happened. Morgan was looking out of his depth until he arrived and then he became twice the player that led us to the premier league title.
  17. Missed a lot of this thread so apologies if this has been posted. The Swiss ramble has the women’s team as 4m for 23/24. I was told at the end of the 22/23 season that the budget for the women’s team for 23/24 was being increased to £10m which would knock £6m off the £12m over he claims we could be.
  18. I thought that was manderic who tried to sack him and it was Vichai who gave him a job for life. Hope all is well with him.
  19. I’d go longevity, contributions to the team particularly towards success or successful periods. But I’d argue it’s not a personal thing, for a player to be a club legend it needs to be widely accepted by the fan base. No one is going to argue against Vardy, but I thought Lynex was great but would the majority consider him a legend?
  20. Was nice not having var slowing the game down. I think it must have been about a minute from Vardy’s penalty being given and him converting.
  21. He had spells where he wouldn’t give anything, particularly after Vardy’s second penalty shout and then periods where he’d give anything and everything.
  22. Syston been hit bad, East Goscote flooded for the first time, Rearsby looks worse than it’s ever been, Thrussington hit really bad. Thankfully gone or going now in most places but wow, never seen anything like it round here.
  23. Maybe we could sneak an extra player on and no one will notice.
  24. That’s not getting called off, you can see the far goal. I think you only have to see both goals from the halfway line.
  25. Fvck em, I've gone. Useless w4nkers.
