They might have given it their all but we were setup terribly and had no way of playing. 4-2 hugely flattered us, on another day with Mads not in that form and it could have been 6-0. We offered zero in attack, our midfield was absent, and we couldn’t defend for toffee. What we expect is a good standard of performance, a team that is coached to play, an ability to compete. We had none of these. Sure, we were always likely to lose the fixture but it’s the manner of the performance not the result or scoreline that has people worried and makes people think Cooper simply doesn’t have what it takes at this level.
