  1. Table below shows census info - 1991 when first ethnic info recorded. Population 1961 (England/Wales) was 46m Population 2021 - 59.6 m (74%White British 7% white others). Asian ethnicity up nearly 2% of total at 7.5%)
  2. Would be terrific. Given more than a third of City population is Indian or Indian ethnicity, the club needs more from locality (only Ramji currently fits that bill I think). I guess funding etc far more opportunities for children to get involved would be a very good start. Given Indian enthusiasm -and ability - for cricket, it is disappointing that is not reflected in Leicestershire - and other County teams.
  3. The difference with Davey is he leader of a political party, and he must be hoping for hung parliament so he can get a deputy PM position. Not a good look considering that on 31 occasions (since becoming leader of LD's) he has called on ministers to resign ( mainly because official got it wrong, and dis not question advice). He will be asking the electorate to take him seriously as a diligent politician when facts show that he has anything but. If he does not resign, it will cost LD's many votes/seats at the election. My prediction is he will 'reconsider' his position and resign; Layla Moran to be leader?
  4. Not quits as black and white as you indicate if yo consider am alternate view from School of Law at University of Virginia: https://www.law.virginia.edu/news/202301/can-presidents-be-prosecuted-or-sued-professor-explains-differing-visions-immunity And, if you accept wikipedia, essentially legally untested: "it is legally untested whether they also enjoy criminal immunity from arrest or prosecution.[a] Neither civil nor criminal immunity is explicitly granted in the Constitution or any federal statute."
  5. I don't think the Super League will be for mid table PL clubs
  6. Given Vardy injury record, Cannon's inexperience Iheanacho & Daka off to AFCON (and probably leaving during window p at season end), I think a greater priority for a goal scorer is need than seems to be the case. It appears every name mentioned is a midfielder or defender.
  7. I think research has shown you are not going to rid yourself of excess weight through the gym alone. Certainly a help in increasing metabolic rate provided your heart rate increases, but is probably more helpful in toning the body. Realistically, you are going to have to cut the unhealthy snacks you are currently eating. Apples and bananas may get boring, but given the variety of fruit readily available in supermarkets (or prepared fruit salads, unless you mix your own), try experimenting with fruit you are unfamiliar with. There must be 20 fruits readily available to provide healthier options. (Separately, could breakfast, lunch be 'better' to help you through to you evening mea Sorry if this seems a bit "nanny-state", but just trying to help you achieve your goals
  8. Some intersting records ending or created across all four divisions: PL: Man C winning run at Etihad ends after 23 games. (And Haaland takes fewer PL dames to reach 50 goals ) Burnley - First PL team to lose first 7 home games in a season. (Newport did similar in 1971 in old div 4) Championship - Ipswich first away defeat this season. Failed to score for first time in 36 matches. League 1: Portsmouth run of 27 undefeated games ends (with a 4-0 home defeat!) League 2 - Stockport did not win for first time in 13 games in bottom tier. . (They only equalled Luton record of 12 games; who themselves had registered first home win in PL.)
  9. What was surprising was that Ipswich didn't score. Ends a run of 35 games across all competitions where they have scored.
  10. I don't understand your comment. Provided his recovery is fully complete to bring him back to the levels he was at previously, he is a really exciting prospect. (The only reason for the abysmal challenge was his skill and frustration by the Wolves defender.) As with all young young talent, there has to be a determination to continually improve. If he can put in that work, he is the best prospect for a long time. I am confident Maresca and training team will improve decision making which has not always been the best. He appears to have the talent to become an exciting player to want to see as with any player that can beat defenders through skill.
