Because they're asking for £9m quid and we don't have a single player that has proven he can play in the number 10 role. Not sure if I was the only one to watch it but on Saturday we played Wilfred Ndidi in the advanced midfield role. A player that can play there is desperately needed. We shouldn't be spending what appears to be the majority of our budget on a player that doesn't improve us and who has a piss poor attitude.

I would be delighted with Gus Hamer on loan. I think he's exactly the sort of player we need.

Because it's going to cost us over 10m euro! I'm surprised i'm in the minority that sees this as a bad deal. It stinks of desperation. He's on a massive wedge and has a very questionable attitude. He doesn't strike me as the type to lead younger players in the same way Vardy does. Galatasaray fans pretty much all say that he's lost his explosive pace and that his attitude is appalling. This all comes after years of being the big man in a small pond at Palace (who improved as soon as he left).

I would have thought that means registering in your 25 man squad.

Vardy has all of that and more.

Yeah my point is more that I don't think we should be spending 8-9m on someone that doesn't actually improve our best 11. I don't disagree with the fact he's an experienced and proven player at this level, i just doubt that his physicality and mentality will keep him at a higher level than our current players. I do think he's past it.

Feels like physicality is being targetted a bit more this season whereas it was all about technical ability last summer. Suppose that's a by-product of Enzo leaving and Cooper coming in. If this is the case, I wonder if he has plans to use Soumare who is undoubtedly at his best when given the freedom to get on the ball and charge up the pitch with it. The issue would be the fact he's as lazy as **** but a good man manager might be able to get a bit out of him? I know that's probably a hope more than anything but you can see he's got the attributes required. Just needs to get the mentality right. Just feel like a team like this: Hermansen Ricardo Okoli Faes Justin Soumare Winks Fatawu Mavididi Hlozek Ioannidis is extremely 'in your face'. Doesn't look like a nice team to play against and I think making us as much of a pain in the arse to play against is going to be key to keeping us up.

Zaha is past it with a terrible attitude. Obviously there's no evidence that Mavididi is a better player at this level because he's not played at this level. All that we can go on is what we see with our eyes. I suppose you'll just have to wait and see if you've not watched much of Zaha since he was a good Premier League player.

Everything you've said about Vardy could be said about Zaha. Re. the part in bold. We don't need players to be top six standard or even just below that. I think some are in for a massive wake up call.

But it's not in our favour if he choses to join us because that would point towards him being a lad that lacks a brain cell.

I would say it's great to get bodies in but he's not better than either Mavididi or Vardy. Good depth but his wages are eyewatering.

Worrying to hear Cooper say that we struggled to keep up with the intensity of the game. A pre-season friendly ffs. Postecoglu's teams are notoriously intense. They will batter us. Everything points to an absolutely horrible and toxic night.

Who are these best players that aren't getting a run about? The only lad that hasn't played a great deal is the 19 year old that has never started a game for us. Only Cooper and his team know the ins and outs of each player's fitness.

Nothing will happen today that could affect the season itself aside from an injury to a player. It's literally just a run around at a competitive tempo to get players ready for when football actually matters.
