Puel In!! Just because we beat Huddersfield and Newcastle... Pathetic. As soon as we come up against anyone half decent, we are awful
-
We are all of a sudden a good side? By beating Huddersfield and Newcastle? Not everyone has forgotten the total embarrassment at Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago. I’d say we’ve got a way to go still until you can we are a good side... realistically teams like Newcastle look at teams like us at home and mark it down for 3 points in their fight to stay up
-
As someone else said, credit were credit due, better performance, even though Newcastle were/are awful. Can even swallow my pride by saying Morgan had a good game... Agaisnt better opposition (even Bournemouth) that’s not going to win loads away from home but defensively... it’s a much better performance ... I’ll give Puel another week ?
-
It has been like this for 90% of Puel's games in charge...
-
Utter crap, unless you enjoy passing sideways whilst looking dodgy at the back, at home, against one of the worst teams in the league. I cannot understand how anyone can seriously stick up for this Wenger rip off
-
Corr all this possession, definitely worth keeping him to watch this every week... what a messiah
-
Any Puel remainers, whatever the result, you are blind if you still want him in... Blind

Who the f*** clicked on Mark Hughes?? Is Robbie Savage on here...

Think Billic is worse at organising a defence than Claude...

Yes where is dean smith on that list?

Bournemouth 4- Leicester 2 post match thread.

He didn't always play the same formations (which makes it more frustrating he sticks to one here) Taken from a journo based website "He favours a 4-2-3-1/4-4-1-1 that is flexible depending on the opposition and type of game." Its the last bit of that, that p***** me off the most... I've not seen any flexibility Another tactics website: Tactical gameplan Claude Puel is known for his fast and counter attack football build on 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 with a classical midfield composed by a centre midfielder (“8 jersey”) a box-to-box and an offensive creative playmaker. In attack he often asks his wingers to cut inside the box to create overloads. Can't be arsed to argue about his tactics anymore, but one thing is for certain, it is ours now, and that isn't the problem in my opinion, it's the results and performances in the last 20 games... -

I hate Google... but whatever crap that comes with, he played it at Southampton, he played it at Nice, if he didn't love it, it wouldn't be this formation every week would it... -

You do know he has been a 4231 man his whole career... which is why he is a Wenger MKII... won't change system -
So many "puel out" calls from fans, so who replaces him?
TMELcfc replied to cityfanlee23's topic in Leicester City Forum
A lot of the people on here going on about the style and a project, blah blah blah, are probably the same people who left early most games last season... and let's not forget the early walkout on the 'lap of honour game!' I would just like to see a Leicester team defend properly. Sod the build up, Eddie Howe gets a lot of praise for that, but he went more direct today as he saw our weakness. Puel is just a poor mans Wenger, will never change system to defeat an opponent, it will be the same set-up every week and same tactic. When you are one of the best teams in the country, you can do it, but we simply, are not. Games this season we have lost: Utd and Liverpool we had a lot of possession and 'were the better team'... but at what point did we really look like scoring... it took a ball to ricochet off the post onto Vardy's head against Utd and Alisson to gift us a goal against Liverpool to get on the scoresheet. Possession, without carrying a threat, doesn't mean we played well!! Today... well just utter b*******'s, especially defensively. Maddison always made himself available, but there were no other options than Vardy. Gray, was again, useless. He must be one of the most overrated players in the league, possibly in our history. The games we have won... Maguire scored from outside the box from a pot shot that went through a cumbersome centre back. Take your rose tinted glasses off, we were terrible, even against 10 men, we wasted most of the opportunity passing the ball sideways. When that didn't work, we just gave the ball away and invited Southampton onto us. Against Wolves... no-one can honestly say we deserved to win that... Doherty headed into his own net after they hit the woodwork twice, we then scored from a deflected shot that was never going in until that slice of luck. We were dominated at home. We have had 4-5 good games with the Fraud in charge, but that's ok, because Chilwell plays and so does Gray… oh oh oh Puel haters, they've both been called up by England... due to injury to others... "Oh oh oh our style of play is better because we have more possession"... when we won the league we had the lowest amount of possesion, and everyone was giving it back to opposition fans saying possession isn't what wins games... but apparently now, it means we were unlucky to lose? Open your eyes, look back at the results and the performances again and seriously ask whether Puel is actually the right man and whether you are convinced he has made enough of a positive impact ON THE FIELD, not just off it. As this is a post with who should replace him with... There is only one manager I would consider at the moment... He is English... he likes to play with possession, which is what you all want apparently, but with some bloody substance! He has brought through youth (which again seems to be a must)…Dean Smith at Brentford... If our owners insist on a 'name' then I fear for us this season, It'll be a rollercoaster as per usual. -

People saying this is stupid... you’re the people who are convinced by Puel for what reason other than the build up is better (but still no end product most the time) and he’s blooded a couple of youngsters? What exactly is so incredible about him? Our form (carrying on from last season) is absolute garbage!! -
Puel out
-
Yes people are starting to see past a nice brand of no substance football and a few youngsters starting every week!

We will sack the fraud before that happens
