  1. He didn't, they got in someone else... so assume he is still with us
  2. Pulis in by December
  3. I think it could work if we got him back... I'd like to see us use a different formation though (3-5-2 for example ) In the 4-3-3 Puel has stuck with, there always seems to be a big gap between back four and midfield, leaving two centre backs exposed (especially when one of them is an ageing Morgan...sorry Wes fans, but his race has been run) On defenders, Benny needs to go, and Fuchs looks so vulnerable in behind as well... With 3-5-2 formation as well, I think it allows Maddison or Iheanacho play with Vards just off him, plus allowing Chilwell & Perreira to roam whilst there is sufficient cover behind them (3 CB's and the big bad Wilf) I know Chilwell isn't the best defensively at the moment, but at least there would be more cover with 3 CB's. Drinky and Wilf 'could' work as neither drive into opposition penalty areas that often, that would be up to the 3rd centre mid (Silva or Maddison I would assume). I like Iborra, but my worry is his mobility around the pitch, not that you need it as much if you can read the game... But Drinky worked so well with Kante, so why couldn't he with N'Didi? I think those two as midfield generals could boss it, snapping at people, closing down etc. and add a little bit of steel... The concern with this formation and manager at the moment is there seems to be a softness, we look like we could concede every time the opposition attack...
  4. No based on dog s*** football for the majority of his time here...
  5. Puel gone after 5 games
  6. Was going to be the next big thing, bad injury stopped that. If he’s over it, he’s worth it... I think... anyone but Ayew
  7. Shocking
  8. Loan out... needs a season of 30+ starts
  9. And get ripped to shreds by some fans after one game...
  10. TMELcfc

    Evans

More so I’d say as at least the players play the game...
  11. I didn’t at any point say he would... I was arguing the fact he’s a class above Puel
  12. Rafa sets up a tactical team for each opponent, that he thinks is best equiped to win... he’s won enough in his career to prove that. I can’t believe that after the months of dross from Puel people want to keep him...
  13. Leon Bailey but missed that boat... Ziyech Ajax and/or Thorgan Hazard
  14. Apparently he is 5/1 to join on some betting sites... god help us
  15. Would suit us better, pressing from the front. Don’t see it happening though. Anyone other than Puel though. Rudkin Out Puel Out
  16. Rudkin Out - He most likely recommended him, wanted a nice 'yes man' rather than a 'Pearson type'... Puel Out - Football is terrible, talks crap, players baffled by him and it's showing
  17. Two positives... I am ready for bed thanks to that... 2nd positive, Dragovic is so much better than Morgan... Puel Out
  18. Missed that boat... he will have his pick of teams now
  19. From Norwich supporting friends... ‘bang average’ Might as well continue being frustrated with Gray
  20. Lose at home to Southampton, he goes, give it to Appleton
  21. What he did with the ball was mostly 'classy', but there was always going to be an element of adapting from Portugal. Iborra struggled to begin with and the Spanish league is a better league, so it might be even longer for Silva. The more he plays, the better and less leggy he will look getting about the pitch
  22. Would be nice but I don't see it happening. I think Ashely will sell end of the season and Newcastle could be on to a winner. Big manager with huge potential of a football club, fans love him. Seriously don't think Dyche will leave anyway especially if they get European football. I just cant be arsed with Puel never wanted him in the first place.. then after 4-5 games I thought I'd got it all wrong and Southampton players were just not as good as ours... however, the last 2 months performances, especially at home have been woeful.
  23. Dyche or Pearson...
  24. If you've only just learnt these from today, I'd say you were the one who is a bit... 'thick' as you like to put it...
  25. Results blinding so many. Apart from today it seems. Playing poorly and winning keeps people dreaming, but losing and playing poorly wakes you up. We've been bloody awful since this French clown came in. Hoping we aren't going to trust him in the transfer market, get someone else in
