45 minutes of Gray has made me realise just how important another winger is... Has there ever been a player in the premier league with such poor end product? He has skill and pace, but my god, he cannot cross, cannot pass, cannot shoot... Get the feeling Brendan will feel he can improve him, but it worries me he may be a starter at the moment...

It is first preseason game, cannot draw many conclusions from them. The only thing I noticed tonight that I hadn't before (somehow), is Ghezzal… never... goes forward... Always has his back to play, passes backwards (sideways at best). He never takes a player on. It is a shame, because he has a good touch, can pass, can take a decent set-piece, and in general has good technique, but he never turns when he receives the ball and goes forward... and it slows everything down. If Brendan cannot get a change out of him or feels he can't, I cannot see how he gets a game for us in future. As frustrating as Gray is, at least he tries to be positive and runs at people... Anyway, other than that, its all about minutes in the tank/shaking off summer rust!

Oh 26 year old... I thought/assumed he was young promising striker... If we are in, surely Kelechi’s days are numbered?

Sell him if next bid exceeds £75mill I don’t think after all this speculation he’d be ‘focused’ and let’s be honest, he’s been good for us, but he’s not the best centre back in our history... take the money, re-invest...

Simplistic view (without over analysis) Looks a dream most the time, has the odd blunder which then makes you think he’s clumsy... getting caught out of position is the weakness you see more often than not.
