The bloke played two LB which says it all. Why have one crap LB when you can have two!
-
Funny player, done well since leaving at Betis and Villarreal, 22 goals in 50 odd games. The issue with Perez was always the fee, at 10m he would have been a good squad player.
-
Agreed, Liverpool and Man City were very good in each of those season, but we could have been the best of the rest. One season of UCL money probably see us avoid our current issues.
-
Be nice to see him do that before the end of the season, even if its a couple of penalties. Little bit of hope we both Southampton and Ipswich coming up at home.
-
I think we were a Mahrez type player sort of being really up there, and a bit of sqaud depth.
-
I agree, however I'd say it very similar to how we played under Rodgers for most of his time here, especially in his first 18 months.

Agreed, Enzo should have used him more, 208 minutes was never enough. -
They brought in Rashford, Malen, Asensio and Disasi? Unless I'm getting your point wrong.

Come with experience, if you can learn from making errors. -
He's not even been there for the last 3 games, bloke has been in hospital.
-
Two of the better teams to watch.
-
Barnes starting to find his best form at Newcastle 4 goal and 3 assists in his last 6.
-
Be interesting to see what game time Alves gets under Ramsey who's the caretaker manager. Riza is a very odd manager, never see someone make as many subs at half time.
-
I think it's impossible to predict, I just think we should get behind our youngsters. I think it's become the norm for City fans to knock down our players, whether they are academy products or more established players like Barnes, Tielemans and Maddisons have got pelters on here, but are very good PL players. I can tell you one thing Cardiff Fans and Oxford fans would happily see Alves and Nelson sign for the permanently.
-
You only have to see what someone like Pep has done to Grealish. I hardly watch any PL games anymore due to the robotic styles of play.

He's has been consistently called up for the England squad at u17, u18 and u20 suggest he's highly thought off. How may have had a career threatening ACL
-
I think you have to remember Barnes first loan at 19 was in league 1 were he got 7 goals contributions in 1684 minutes for a mid table side. Alves is playing at a level higher and already has 4 in 602 minutes. Barnes first loan in Championship at Barnsley he got 5 goals contributions I'm 1404 Minutes. I think most people are comparing Alves to Barnes time at West Brom, but forget Barnes had 46 league games under his belt by the time he got there. Alves is a year behind in he's develop due to his ACL. It's hard to tell what level he will be, but he's doing well a Cardiff for me.

He's 21, he had a lot of bulking up and strengthening work to do, he can improve he's physicality. -
He's has 4 goals contributions in 602 minutes, which is one every 150.5 minutes. Since he's arrived at Cardiff they have scored 12 goals in 13 games. He's only played in 10 of those and has been involved in 33% of their goals. I think you are underestimating the performance of a 19 year making he's first steps in the game. Average that contribution rate over 46 games season, playing every 90 minutes you get 27 goal contributions

Look at the Leeds line up, a team dominating the division most of the season with an average squad. -
