What's Cover like?

If it am FFP thing as people keep panicking about it would have been in the making for a good while so I think we would be in a place to move quickly.
-
Maybe a few minutes of the bench at most.
-
As a City fan I never dreamed of winning the league because it was so unrealistic. But I did dream of winning the FA cup, it was a unreal feeling when we won it, I was much more emotional than when we won the league.

Well you cab have expensive players unregistered if you don't mind paying their wages. It's always about money.
-
Which also suggests he pretty decent at his job as Newcastle were recruiting off field has been pretty switched on.
-
All the talk about FFP even in March 2023 Rob Dorsett in his article stated "I've been told that Leicester are not close to any breach of Financial Fair Play, despite such big losses" I also think if we had breached FFP for last seasons account for the last 3 year rolling period we would have already been changed in the same way Everton and Forest have.

OK worse case scenario KDH goes for 30m. We could sign a couple of player for 5-10m each on 5 year contacts, transfer amortisation for that would be between 2.5m to 5m a year depend on the the purchase price. So you would have a positive swing of 25m on the books from a ffp point of view 30m KDH fee - amortisation for a couple of players If we brought the right replacement it wouldn't be the craziest move. I just think, we would have been actively looking for replacement and actively looking to sell if this was a FFP thing. it's feels like more of a out of the blue enquiry from Brighton then a FFP issue.

Alves has played about 18 minutes of men's football and just coming back from a serious injury, he is not a KDH replacement. Maybe it 2 or 3 seasons but not now.
-
I think we could have sold them for 5m each easy, with no amortisation to help the P & L. Plus probably save 80k to 100k a week in wages which over 30 weeks is between 2.4m - 3m in wages.

Its was a bit of fun, but my acutal point was his tweet prove nothing, like those tweet meant nothing. It's really not that deep.

“We need to sell to bring in,” Maresca said. “At the end it’s not difficult because we are happy with the squad. But with internationals and injuries, we are short. But we don’t definitely have to sell.” I don't think he would say this if KDH was off...
-
OK, did he day KDH will sign for Brighton? No. Did he said Brighton were interested, Yes. Same as Man U were interested in Maddison and Arsenal were interested in Youri.....
-
100% I want Brie Larson......

I think we would have had more of a fire sale of the likes of Nacho, Ndidi and Daka. I also don't see us paying Winks and Coady the wages they would have want to get them here if we were that close.
-
That was in 2019..... Think he may have gone early.
-
Other then that being in 2019? As close to being right as it is wrong..... Just saying he not always gospel.

Not according to the Telegraph and Daily Mail both reported Fulham couldn't find a replacement.
-
Wouldn't be the first time a club have leaked their interest to unsettle a player.
-
Not sure we don't sell KDH if we are in FFP true like some are saying because we couldn't get McAtee.
-
Not sure that makes sense Palhinha fell though because Fulham were unable to find a suitable replacement in time. So if he was going to Fulham way would the Palhinha deal have fell though with 60m in the bank Fulham would have paid our asking price and had 20-30m spare. Also I think there would have been more noise around KDH going Fulham at the time.

I'm not buying it. We were taking FFP seriously last summer, because we had no intention of buying any players. We didn't look to do a fire sale and only sold Fofana because he wanted to go and it was a massive fee. In the winter window we were willing to chuck 20m at Harrison. This summer we had 3 senior strikers on the books and brought in Cannon for 7m who we didn't need at the time. You don't refuse 4m for Iversen a player who clearly not in the manager plans if you need money in. We have cut amortisation from an all time high of 70m per annum to 40m. We have cut the best part 500k a week of the wage bill moving on players. That's a positive swing on the P & L by around 70m before you factoring in selling Maddison, Barnes for a combined total of 90m.

Just don't think we would value him at 30m with 3 years left on his contract.
