The Confession is a book I really enjoyed recently.

Not bad....so far.

An excellent documentary about an underdog football team who look to reverse their fortunes with coach Bill Courtney. Courtney is a great find; the kind of man you find it hard to believe exists in real life. The story is almost too ridiculously moving to be true; a perfect, heart-warming drama that never fails to be uplifting. One of the great underdog stories that every sports fan should watch.

That's what I'm beginning to think myself.

Of course they do their best, I'm proud of her and I'm sure she'll reach the new required score. It's just very very annoying and she could of done without the re-sit.

The Exam Board. I've just received my daughters result from her 1st GCSE maths exam, unit 2 foundation tier. She got 49 out of 66 which would of been a C grade, but as the exam board have significantly increased the the mark needed to 53 from 41 after she took the exam, but before they marked them she received a D grade. I, the school and probably many other parents are fuming as we've only just been told of the increase with a letter that came with her result. This is very unfair and as she took the exam before the proposed increase was set, she should of been scored on the old scale surely? Only 2 kids in the whole class received a C grade, Shocking really. She can re-sit it and only needs another 4pts but that's not the point, as before she sat it she was told she needed 41pts or more for a C and she did that in a subject that's not her best. The school has put in a written complaint to revise the scores, but I can't see it doing much good. Here's hoping though

Not bad and quite touching story of one family's remarkable struggle for survival and to find each other again after the Tsunami in Asia.

I'm still going to try the Aberlour as it's my Birthday next week. So fingers crossed my wife loves me and buys me a bottle.

I usually drink Whyte & Mackay Special if that's any help. I was swinging towards the Jura before you posted but I'm no Whiskey expert.

Which one is best as I can't decide and I'm going to treat myself tomorrow. I usually drink Whyte & Mackay special. Isle of Jura 10 year old single malt whisky or Aberlour 10 year old single malt whisky
