Top taking control of a business that has been turning into a mess and maybe he's realised and not impressed. Dodgy sponsor, manager that wasn't a fit for the players, players not performing. I like the fact he's been around and is taking control as it's needed. Rudkin and Whelan ha e been trusted to run the club and they're making a hash of it. Top might be pushed too far, but it's good to see him stamping his authority. This is the wake-up call the board and players probably needed for a while.

Who's 'they'?

I was thinking this while I can't sleep, I couldn't be a football manager. I know you get paid a tonne of money and I could retire on managing a team for a week and getting sacked for poor performance in the premier league. But the amount you gave to do, deal with is actually incredible. I'm talking on a human level. You have to manage 25 players directly, deal with the press and their relentless questions and criticism, outside noise from the press, fans and other sources. Then on match day you've got 12-80k people watch you do your job and get on your back when things go wrong or they dont agree and a lot more behind the scenes stuff. I'm surprised people want to do it. I know people will say they get paid handsome for it and I maybe being soft, but on a human level it must take a certain type of person to deal with that level of intensity and stress. I just couldn't do it. I know life is stressful for others as well for different reasons, I do get that, of course. But I just think the high levels in this type of job must be incredible Amazing what you think of a 4am and can't sleep.

I don't think theres bitching and moaning, just people, like me, wary of this appointment. But I'll back him and I feel more positive than I did with Cooper, that is for certain. RVN isn't one I'd go for

@StriderHiryu - watching your stream earlier, I got the impression that Corberan is more suited to us. He will make us harder to beat in the compact 4-4-2 in defence and going forward the players can use their knowledge of Enzo with his mix of tactics. RVN seems a higher risk to me. On a tactical level, would you agree, or have I got it wrong?

I feel he's being held back by the limits of budget (or lack of) at WBA.

RVN will have my backing, but I have reservations. It's a gamble. I think he needs a strong team around him for it to work.

I'm with you on this. Would you have been happy with Corberan? Or someone else? Do you think this is too rushed?
