I hope you're right. Fuchs, Huth, Morgan and Simpson were all had the same mentality, so they understood each other and could communicate. This lot all think like individuals, with different ideas. I miss Fuchs. etc...they wouldn't have let that happen. Its more than a coaching thing. We have too many bomb scare defenders. Out of them, Vesty is probably the best defender overall. But the rest you can't rely on. To survive you need a reliable defence which at the moment they're not. Also the spine in the team is weak. No one in midfield takes control, and it's been a problem for a a while for me. Our best asset is Mads, and looking at his reaction yesterday, he looks like he's had enough. He would love to have a Morgan/Huth in front of him. Defenders that can take control and won't be bullied. The second and third goal especially was awful. Every single defender looking at the ball and not aware of their surroundings. I hope RVN brings is some top quality coaches, but I think we need to start again with a strong spine to the team. Though I fear it's too late. Unless there is a miracle, I fear we'll be a mid table struggling championship side in a couple of seasons...at best. I really hope I'm wrong and Ruud has some magic beans. I'll back him as much as I can, but has the rot already set in?

There is a bigger problem at board level then Rudders. Whelan and the finance side for shambolic sponsorship saga, players contracts and stale way of thinking. To be fair to Top has taken more control so he needs to carry on and reshuffle the board
