  1. Apart from our own demise I have no problem with this other than spurs maybe, English football needs it!
  2. ****ing buzzing with that, Deans family and that's the same goal he saved a penalty in for Shrewsbury against Rotherham in the playoffs years ago, go on Deannnnoooo
  3. My brother and I have the opportunity to get season tickets, my dad who we have always gone with since we were young had a heart attack earlier in the year isn't keen on going back atm but encouraged us to try in the ballot. Me and my brother spoke last night and we both said we aren't ready to give up on going without our dad and settled for we would just buy tickets as and when no matter the cost whether it's for 2 of us or 3 of us. However, if we got season tickets, am I right in saying there's a chance we could get our dad a ticket for when he does want to go? But you can't guarantee it would be next to us?
  4. We've not had captains only before, I think that was used for the first time at the Euros last year? Apparently surrounding the ref isn't dealt with by the ref, it's reported post game and the FA hand put hefty fines which just seems daft, why not make a stand there and then, man city, Liverpool who are repeat offenders would surely be more compromised by yellow cards than a fine.
  5. And it's worked a treat because their deluded bunch are so intent on defending him that they can't see how corrupted it is, it's generated anger within their fan base over a freak accident.
  6. Which is the exact reason she can't flag, if she does flag and hes actually onside and through on goal and the whistle goes VAR can't intervene, it's done and Forest are going mental. She's not 100% sure but thinks he is, flag stays down, let the goalscoring situation play out then flag. If he scores happy days flag goes up saves our blushes or she gets it wrong, flag doesn't go up VAR intervenes and corrects her- goes against her in her performance criteria. If the attack breaks down or they miss she flags and then it shows she's made the correct decision which she is again ultimately judged on from a performance criteria perspective. IFAB make the rules and unfortunately with VAR in place this is one they aren't going to take away. I think when you get a split second to judge it, your at pitch level looking across the line trying to keep up with the defender who's moving one way, and then judge when the ball is played it's probably not as clear a decision as many would think. Let's not take away from the fact that this is a freak incident and we have people with the media and on social platforms sat putting blame on people who are just doing their jobs
  7. I hope Sheff Utd spank Sunderland senseless
  8. Middlesbrough turn the cold water off so when you fill up the water bottles you only get warm water, dark arts.
  9. I don't think that is just on the assistant, surely the ref has to be best positioned to say it has been flicked on, I can only imagine that he's told the assistant that there is no touch. That's an absolute shocker in any game, let alone a playoff game
  10. What a finish that is, the audacity!
  11. Get that contract ready for Manning and make sure he brings Mehmeti with him
  12. I like Wilder but you feel Sheff Utd lack a proper tactician, they constantly end up with 4-5 a long the front line and no movement in the midfield, for some of the players they have you would expect that they would link up a little more in and around the area.
  13. That's if the player has gone to make a challenge to win the ball, he initiates the contact to pull him back then challenges for the ball, a yellow may feel right for some but the laws of the game are clear.
  14. We're watching Bristol City Ifollow in Spain and they even agree it's a red, you can't put two hands on him that side, it's a red all day long and a pen.
  15. Hamer is an absolute Rolls Royce of a player
  16. I didn't think so originally but the most recent replay with the lines on the pitch I think he's off yes.
  17. They've used him a lot playing ahead of the defence, just massively short in that right back position with Clarke and Seriki injured and Wilder really doesn't seem to trust Gilchrist.
  18. I don't think that's offside, even if he's interfering with the defender playing the ball I think he's in line.
  19. I get the impression from the article above he's saying that he's not happy or impressed with the physical condition of a number of the players, so likely going with a squad he feels can do what we need physically consistently. Unfortunately physical ability doesn't win football games, technical and tactical elements have far more impact.
  20. This is another cracking tie but my major frustration and a sign of the times of the game are players and staff of the team who concede complaining and looking for anything for a goal to be ruled out. I can never remember it being like that growing up, teams either got on with it or it boiled over between the players, never constant moaning to officials.
  21. He started his coaching journey as soon as he didn't get a pro from his YTS at Ipswich, apparently incredibly detailed orientated, really good person as well, I hope it's him.
  22. My choice from day 1, although my first choice before Enzo was appointed was Michael Duff....
  23. I think he stays, he's been very vocal since arriving just how bad things are there and how much improvement is required. I think he buys himself time to oversee some form of change.
  24. I believe they don't get access to those live broadcast camera angles that are used by the TV companies, they have set cameras specific to VAR use.
  25. Just really poor positioning, moves across and behind the player who blocks his view and guesses.
