Yes and let's not all deny we were expecting him to bring Ayew or Reid on ahead of Fatawu, there is some progression in his subs.
-
I get it, but to his credit he's made those changes, don't get me wrong it doesn't wash over how we started and him being so risk adverse but he did make the changes. If he drops Justin for Ricardo moving forward I'll be far more hoeful
-
The first half was turgid but hes actually made changes that have impacted this game. Not having it that we can call him sh*t and call him out for the poor parts but not give him some credit when he actually does get something right, the learning point is that the starting lineup has to change going forward
-
He's about as predictable as the constant drivel thats to be expected in your posts.

Been in an absolute rut this week, this will be first since earlier in the year I'll be going into the weekend having not clocked any miles yet. It's a shame because the past two days have been perfect conditions and I just couldn't motivate myself to get out the door.

A large number of these Sheff Utd players are having one tonight, fortunately the Leeds forward line isn't up to much. -

Southampton vs Leicester (A) - October 19th

Word today was that Des Buckingham is ready to take over at WBA with Carlos lined up to go Saints. Couldn't find anything to back that up anywhere but the info came from someone who has good connections to Oxford staff. -

Might be a bit of uproar on here when Carlos Corberan is in the Saints dugout... -
We went to see it last night, enjoyable but tiresome sums it up perfectly.

I don't think its a case of covering our eyes and pretending everything is ok. 3 points for us is huge, especially with the results around us, more so going into another break and with the fixtures we have to come. I have nothing against Cooper, nor do I think he's the Messiah, he's just the man who's in charge of our club and I'm going to take more than the seven games he's had in one of the toughest leagues in the world to see what he can do. Some bits I've seen I've been encouraged by. I was largely scarred from our last season in the prem and how we lacked fight or grit. We had a squad far stronger than this and we rolled over far too often. I haven't seen that under Cooper, we have a spirit about us that wants to make it hard and ugly for teams. My concern is I think we make it hard for ourselves and we go a little too negative when we could be braver. I think that largely comes from the monkey on our back that was awaiting that first 3 points. Other bits of play we have had I think we've looked great, we put together some brilliant phases of passing play and break the lines, we just need to be more clinical when those chances come. My honest opinion is that people on here read too much into the short term. I'm a firm believer in it takes time to build a team into what you want them to be and a squad is utilised over a season and not just seven games. My belief is he wanted to start this season making us hard to beat, and to keep building from there, yes it's slow and it's ugly at times, but I'd rather be where we are than a team like Soton who are, to me, a disaster. I think Ayew and BDR were signed as players who he could trust to just be ok for us, provide some consistency and experience to those around him and just be players he can depend on. It's a gamble as they take time away from other players, arguably it's not helping Fatawu's development but he's still young and his time will come this season. Players like Alves and McAteer I'm sure will get there chance when we have a few more points on the board and there's an appropriate time to take that opportunity. He gets criticised for being safety first but is that the worst thing? We have a lot of rebuilding to do and maybe just a case of trying to lay some foundations? Another two weeks on the training pitch and a chance to get some messages across. The monkey off of our backs, a chance to go and put a nail in the Saints coffin early doors first game back and then a big one which he will want to win as much as anyone. Let's just get behind him and see what he can do in this next run.

3 points being the only stat that matters at the end of the day. Come on City 💙 -
5 points from those 4 is a fair enough return, onto the next run of games after the break.

I reckon he's gone to try and scoop it low and just fall on it to kill time. He's probably got too comfortable taken his eyes off of it and misjudged where it was going. Funny how every error/incident in the game has people calling for match-fixing, we live in times where people are so set on there being something deeper going on in so many walks of life it's a bit sad. -

Leeds are a level above Spursy, they have had the job pretty much done so many times and throw it away so often. It couldn't happen to a better team. -

That's madness! -
Pleased for Cannon. Souttar has been ok defensively but a bit suspect on the ball so far.

I don't think it's just that, with Alves and his recent injury history they'll want a club where they know he will be taken care of, and where he will be used sensibly. Barnsley as an example, who were rumoured to have serious interest, have just had a massive turnover in their medical department and have a pretty poor injury record of late. It's a different club to the one we loaned Barnes to as part of his development and maybe the club don't think it was worth the risk despite what they may have been able to offer in footballing terms.
-
Bournemouths style of play takes a clear toll on them, they have a lot of tired looking players out there.

The 3rd being for asking for an offside
-
They've been largely horrendous this season, my Saints supporting colleague is the only person who I know who is angrier than many on here
-
No he didn't, there wasn't much contact at all. Im just of the opinion that Fernandes has it in him to try and hurt someone then try and hide his intent.
