  1. They got at least 8 more points than the 3 promoted teams from the first 12 matches. They are now just 2 points from survival. There is a very strong chance that they will stay up.
  2. I agree. Once we started tightening the belt Rodgers knew he couldn’t take us any further. He still should have acted more professionally and the club could have acted quicker but it was definitely a factor in it all going wrong.
  3. Maybe we would have beaten Bournemouth if we hadn’t got rid of Kasper and brought in other big money signings. We tried to do things right and have come out of it worse than Everton.
  4. The fact that we were obviously trying to get our house in order from the start of last season makes the situation even worse.
  5. A youngster could have scored that goal if they had not signed Doucoure. We will never know for certain how many points they would have got. What is certain is that with the 10 point deduction put in place at the end of last season they would have gone down and we would have stayed up. The fact that we were rubbish is irrelevant.
  6. I think you are missing the point. The 10 point deduction is for things that happened before the end of last season, without those points we would have stayed up.
  7. Yes he is the direct replacement for Chris Egerton but in terms of overall staffing it is Egerton out and Emily Herbert in.
  8. Agree with most that there is no need for panic and criticism of the team is ridiculous at this point. However I think it does suggest that just because we have been winning lots of Championship matches it doesn’t mean we currently have a squad capable of competing in the Premier League. At this stage we only need a squad good enough to get out of the division.
  9. I can’t see how they can replace him with Emily Herbert. Good luck to her and she may have a good broadcasting career but at the moment she is not at the level you would expect from BBC local radio.
  10. There is a gap between ball and line but that doesn’t mean it is out because of the shape of the ball.
  11. Will any of the December 23rd matches be moved? Ipswich/Leeds presumably would be the first to be moved.
  12. Yes but they were always done as separate programmes before with a presenter at both matches.
  13. Looks like there will just be one programme with split commentary when the 2 sports clash. Surely there could still be comments from fans of both sports at the end.
  14. Slightly different as he had just turned down Wolves saying about loyalty.
  15. We don’t seem to be getting any fan reaction after games now. It seems that football and rugby are now having a shared programme with one presenter when the matches are played together. Maybe to do with local radio cuts although sport wasn’t supposed to be affected.
  16. A promoted team doing that well - I can’t imagine they’ll feel sick!
  17. A ‘funny old game’ because we could have had 5 yet it never felt like we were in full control.
  18. I suppose they want the cameras to be there when we get promoted.
