The deals have to be a market value I believe. So a company couldn't just pay a billion to Man City for example.

A top end championship deal can be up to 5-8 million, so its a decent amount when its pure profit to the club. For example the Red Bull shirt sponsorship value for Leeds United is approximately £8 million per year, as reported in August 2024.
