Ben Mike proving his consistent lack of contribution across all formats. That’s a woeful batting performance aside from the overseas players. -

Rishi has consistently improved his game since he joined us. I still believe Budinger may be able to do the same. Less so Kimber. But Budinger has to learn it’s not all about trying to whack it out of the park. Rishi’s knock last night was a masterclass in touch and placement. It really was an elite knock. Let’s hope Mulder finds his rhythm with bat and ball. He is better than he’s showing at the moment. We know this. Mike needs to start showing some cricketing intelligence or his career will soon be over. Plaudits to Scott Currie. Absolutely trying his heart out. And Goldsworthy. -

3 wides in the first over we bowl. Our friend Ben Mike goes for 17 in his first over. Not a glorious start thus far at Wantage Road -
Bodes well!

Why the hell give this over the Mike? Total liability -

Agreed. I’d really hoped Budinger could become another Patel. Despite the occasional glimpse he just gets out too quickly -

Well I never. I thought Durham were going to walk that, but what do I know. Well done Goldsworthy, Currie and Hull at the end there -

That, though, is a great over from Goldsworthy and an ice cool catch from Currie -

Meanwhile Ben Mike seems like an utterly unintelligent bowler. Hull is miles ahead of him now -

Totally. Nothing in the batting and bowling, but we ran badly, they’ve stolen some runs. Just basics really -

Josh Hull is a proper prospect isn’t he? Looks the real deal to me -

No doubt at all. He’s a fabulous player, but not a T20 hitter -

I think there’s the makings of a decent T20 team there. Not so good today, and next weekend will be important. If one of Patel or Budinger come off our power plays should be very productive, and we have lots of bowling options. I’ve been encouraged by much of the last 24 hours -

This has been an excellent performance from us in front of a really decent sized crowd. Good start. -

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

I think i feel much the same. The powers that be seem to have little regard for those of us who support our teams. It’s becoming vile. -
Premier League 24/25 Pre-season guff (misc talking points)
Harpenden Fox replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
And so the Premier League participants in August 2024 are the same as in August 2022, bar Ipswich for Leeds. Aside from laughing at Leeds, this is not altogether healthy for the game in my opinion. -

I think he was CEO there. The Leicestershire job is almost impossible. The interest simply isn’t there it would seem. The sadness for me is for reasons I don’t understand it’s been almost impossible to tempt the often cricket loving second and third generation Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis to the ground. Jarvis is great at talking things up with very little substance, but I guess that’s the job. We’ve been so poor for so long it’s hard for even diehard fans to retain interest -

It’s a shameful two day performance. We might be on target for our heaviest effort defeat. Show some backbone lads for goodness sake -

Last season’s one day cup triumph was a lovely interlude. Really hoped we might kick on a bit. But this season has been pathetic thus far. Sure the weather hasn’t helped, but we look so bland frankly. And I don’t know why but Jarvis appointing someone he used to work with as commercial director smells like jobs for the boys. Hope I’m wrong. -

Thai Celebrities on the Pitch/Parade
Harpenden Fox replied to MattFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Here’s a PR idea the club could have gone with. They randomly pick 4 season ticket holders of different ages and ask them to be part of the celebrations Saturday and Sunday. One of them to be a Union FS member given their huge efforts. So on the pitch, trophy lift, on one of the buses. Ask them to take some video clips. Edit them, distribute them on socials. Costs next to nothing. An experience of a lifetime for four loyal fans, and authentic content you suspect most of us would like -
