  1. I’ve seen a few terrible performances over the last 50 years. That first half was right down there. Wolves are poor. They barely lifted a finger and slaughtered us.
  2. And devoid of atmosphere.
  3. after 19 games, so yes
  4. You would though. Be honest.
  5. So I obviously live in Hertfordshire. For last night's game my son and I came up on the train (£45 each). Stayed in a decent Airbnb on Cambridge Street (£100). Train to London for me this morning (£45). He took a train back to Manchester, where he works. Then there's the season tickets. I'm lucky, I can afford to do this and choose to do so. But it is ridiculous, and making it an 8.15pm kick off is vile. So too is VAR. But because we won, and this made me happy, I then went and spent money in the club shop despite a few weeks ago vowing not too because it's full of overpriced rubbish. The powers that be know we are hopeless addicts.
  6. And ‘this is embarrassing’
  7. I’m sitting in the Brentford end. Neighbour - Southampton and Ipswich were poor, but nowhere near as bad as these
  8. Absolutely this! I can hear that phrase so clearly
  9. It’s barely worth debating anymore. He’s so clearly out of his depth, and I think he knows it too. I think the squad we have is just about capable of survival, just, but we need leadership and ambition to have a chance
  10. We so desperately need an exciting against the odds result to reinvigorate the club. I absolutely cannot see where it will come from, but I guess you’ve gotta have hope or what’s the point?
  11. What a blow for the lad and us. Remarkably, the website posted this update an hour ago. The left hand and the right hand of our Club seem totally detached Ben Nelson was forced off just over an hour into Oxford United’s 1-0 triumph over Hull City at Kassam Stadium last Tuesday, due to injury, and missed the U’s latest league outing – a narrow defeat to Watford. The defender has made a positive impact since joining Des Buckingham’s newly promoted side, but it remains to be seen if he will be available to return to their squad when hosting Middlesbrough next weekend.
  12. Very similar feeling for me too. Although I’m not a big purchaser of replica kits I think the realisation that a shirt now costs £70 shocked me. It’s just vile profiteering. Not the biggest problem we face, but a symbol of something deeply unpleasant. I hope we can find a new owner with passion for the project, a new director of football, and an enthusiastic young manager
  13. Whatever happens this season, every home game should be a non stop tribute to this legend. We will never ever see the likes of him again. Sing his name. Remember your favourite Vardy goal. Savour every minute we have left of him.
  14. I think that’s the point. Everyone is just going through the motions. The chairman has lost interest. The media is the same every week. The social media is the same every week. The defending is the same every week. The excuses are the same every week. All we have left are memories and one last season of the legendary Vards.
  15. This is one of the most accurate summaries of where we’re at that I’ve seen in years
  16. Also, going back to the ‘leaving early’ furore. People were streaming out of the Stadium of Light from 85 minutes. The ground was half empty for that extraordinary finale. This is not a phenomenon unique to LCFC
  17. Suggests to me that Kimber has talent, but insufficient application. Budinger arguably falls into the same category.
  18. Doesn’t really feel like we’re even trying very hard. I was tempted to buy a membership out of loyalty, as I rarely go to Grace Road (even though I’m a regular down the road), but why bother if the players don’t seem bothered. Three batters out stumped is just mindless
  19. He was on fire until we made his loan into a permanent deal
  20. Last time we played at Palace it led to the demise of King Brendan
  21. Yes. It’s hardly inspiring me to rush out and buy a membership for next season
  22. And to be fair, if only a handful of the public feel inclined to watch the product, it does not have a viable future. A £3.7 million subsidy from the ECB, but still we make losses of half a million and have debts of £4 million. Why on earth would you invest in that model unless you have more money than sense?
  23. Apparently also true in reality. A properly good man.
  24. Sort of cricket - give yourself a treat and watch Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams. Inspiring.
  25. Final three games: Patel Evans Rahane Kimber Holland Cox Rehane Trevaskis Scriven Green Wood one last chance for Evans to breakthrough at the top of the order. Experience for the two young bowlers. Forget about promotion, we’re not good enough to be promoted. Wright has struggled to take a wicket and Hill has struggled to score a run, so take them out of the firing line. And don’t waste money on a three week loan.
