  1. Even good teams have bad days. The challenge now is to bat for 150 overs in the second innings. That should be the challenge. Do that and it will give them enormous belief for the last 5 games of the 4 day season
  2. That sodding’ trumpeter beloved of the barmies. I loathe it with a passion
  3. Worth mentioning we’re missing Cox, Mike, Holland and Hull too. All genuine first teamers
  4. Was there any word on why the excellent Cox is missing this one?
  5. Well this season continues to delight and massively massively exceed expectations. Well played Counteh
  6. We may get away with it, but it looks like a major mistake. Scriven and Trevaskis both 3 overs for 18. Mike 4 overs for 49.
  7. Kimber can produce amazing hitting, we know this, but he needs to add intelligence to his game, Ben Cox being an excellent role model dare I say
  8. Into June: P11 W8 D2 L1 pretty confident that’s the best record of all 18 counties.
  9. I’m not a big rugby fan, so City and County are my great loves. City’s demise really hurts me more than it should. County’s incredible team ethic this season has been joyful to behold, and reminds me sporting success is cyclical for teams like ours. County this season remind me good days will return for City. We’re foxes for life, whether we like it or not.
  10. Just completed this. A good survey, which sadly, for all the wrong reasons, was all too easy to complete. Thank you to the people who have organised it
  11. The cost of staging 4 day games must be eye watering. So I went to Lords on Friday and Saturday. Beautiful weather on both days. A good competitive game of cricket. There were about 2,000 in the ground on both days. A one off ticket is £20. It's the most famous cricket arena in the world. A population of 20 million is within an hour of the ground, but just 2,000 people attend (most of whom will be members of either MCC or Middlesex). You cannot really blame any Club for wanting to stage fewer of these loss making events. County get about 300 to 500 through the gate for a day of County Cricket. So 10 days of County Cricket, or one evening of Blast cricket, when you might get 3,000 down at Grace Road.
  12. What a fabulous performance. Wow.
  13. Sheffield Wednesday? On a Saturday?
  14. one block within the away section was totally closed, then plenty empty in the home end. My guess would be around 28k
  15. Likewise. My last game was the horror that was Brentford. I simply want to see Vardy play for us one more time, remembering what he’s achieved rather than what has become of us now. Then, hopefully, a new era dawns next season, with lots of keen young players supported by three or four senior pros.
  16. Seconds have slaughtered Northants in two days. Dilly ding.
  17. Well done Foxes. This must be the best start to a season in years!!
  18. It's aim was to raise the profile of the concerns many LCFC fans, including myself, have. The fact that the plane and its message have been featured on numerous mainstream media and social channels means it was a resounding success. No one expected Top to see the message, or subsequent coverage, and immediately sell the club and sack Rudkin. But it does highlight the utter mess we've made of the last four seasons (the cracks were well and truly appearing the season before we were relegated). The orchestrator of the protest was anything other than self-centred. He has put time and effort in to raising awareness of the legitimate concerns many of us have. To be honest, if you can look at how we've performed over the last four years and think it's been anything other than a total mess, the word with which you conclude your statement comes to mind.
  19. I haven’t been to the last few games, but I’m thinking I’ll go to the Southampton home game to ‘say goodbye’ and watch him in the flesh one last time, as I think it is now time to say thank you, and farewell, to the greatest player in the history of the club. That goal against Liverpool, for me, was the greatest moment in my 50 years supporting City. Thank you, Jamie
  20. Agreed! It’s super coverage on LancsTV to be fair. Excellent camera work and good commentary. And all for free.
  21. Made his comeback for the 2s this week. Does seem like some decent young batters making runs in the 2s. I’m just starting to feel we may have a viable future on the field. Not so sure off it.
  22. I'd say this is one of the most comprehensive wins we've had in some time. Really excellent. Dare we hope for something this summer??
  23. Every now and again Jarvis likes to announce something to generate some headlines. Ground redevelopment for example. Gives off slight second hand car salesman vibes. Then again I am Mr Cynical.
  24. Agreed. The football is going to be miserable. We may as well try and celebrate the Vardy inspired great times. They need to do a proper pre match video sharpish
  25. Premier Ambition isn't attributed to anyone - we, as a club, have that ambition, but amateur decisions are destroying that ambition
