  1. On this, we can all agree that the last four or so years have been dreadful. A totally miserable experience as we have plummeted from our best ever period (2015-2021), to our worst (as of yesterday). Supporting City has been grim. We have a disinterested owner, his sidekick appears totally incompetent, and now we have a manager who could not be more Brent if he tried. I think he's a charlatan. But my point is going to the football is meant to be fun, or else, well, what is the point? Yesterday's atmosphere was ok, somewhat half hearted, and from my vantage point over to the right, the booing at the end of the game seemed pretty isolated. We now know King Power wants to sell. So change is on the way, and I think that's a good thing. Question is, will our lads respond to a positive atmosphere, or a negative one? I don't know about you, but I know I respond to positivity more than negativity, even now at the age of 60. And certainly when I was in my late teens or early 20s. So as justified as negativity might be, it's quite simply my view that our players will perform better if they're not scared of getting booed the moment they make a mistake. And going down the City might just be more enjoyable if we try and make it more enjoyable. And if you dare to disagree with my post I'm coming round your house and booing you all day tomorrow.
  2. Despite the evidence in front of my eyes on Saturday, I am looking forward to this. I'm now in my 52nd year of attending LCFC matches. You would think I'd have learnt by now.
  3. This isn't the first time this chap has been questioned on here, and it's just not the right thing to do. Yes he is massively enthusiastic about LCCC, but is that such a crime? It's not appropriate to question whether someone has 'something wrong' with them. Who knows what other people are contending with in their lives. Let's just celebrate being in a final rather than questioning the motives of another supporter
  4. I'd say it's sad. Anger I reserve for stuff that really matters. I'm determined to try and enjoy my trips to the football, however hard that may be. Towards the end of last season there was a bloke sitting a few seats to my left who was just giving everyone dog's abuse for the whole game. Make no mistake we were playing appallingly, but it kind of made me think if this activity is making you so miserable, what's the point of going?
  5. It is also important to remember that whilst LCFC means so much to us, it is only football. Anger and abuse are strong emotions.
  6. Well I sat next to a guy at a cricket event recently who lives close to Martin, and who knows him quite well. He said he's extremely charming and likeable, but somewhat arrogant and full of himself.
  7. agree with this. The chap is still being paid, could we not ask him to come to work?
  8. I tended to feel that Sean Jarvis rather over communicated as Chief Exec, and was somewhat prone to the hyperbolic. However, by way of contrast, his replacement appears to be the opposite. I haven't heard anything from her. Add to this the rumours of arguments and fall outs in the camp and it doesn't paint a pretty picture, sadly.
  9. also a very good wicket keeper batter, and we need all rounders. Wrong thread
  10. Loads of people bought it yesterday, and loads more will buy it, no doubt. It's a truism that most of us only jump online when we dislike something. I suspect sentiment on Foxestalk is more negative than the fanbase in general. I know I am guilty of this. The only thing that annoys me about this and other football merch is that it costs £70. Not for me Jeff.
  11. It seems borderline irresponsible for a Club so often struggling financially to have two fairly mundane all rounders on loan when we have two mundane all rounders on the payroll. And to be fair to Tom Scriven, he's better than mundane. Very grim
  12. There were plenty of home fans. And don’t knock the Indian support. They light up every stadium they fill.
  13. Rishi is off at the end of the season. I think he’s a fantastic player, but he clearly needs to play in division one. Huge loss for us. These last few months have been a bit of a disaster if we’re honest
  14. If his personal circumstances allow how wonderful would it be if our skipper could warm up for his domestic season with a month here from mid August!
  15. We sold them Mads for £18 million and they got relegated. We will sell them Fatz for £17 million, and they will plunge to league one. We will take their place in the Championship in 12 month time. I have this on good authority.
  16. @everton carr and @Voll Blau I appreciate this is an open forum, but this back and forth is about as entertaining as watching Geoff Boycott ‘dig in’ back in the day
  17. However Tatersall is injured. We have not had much luck with withdrawals, injuries, franchise call ups and assorted other issues thus far this season.
  18. Rehan is playing for us tomorrow! Excellent news. Let’s hope he gets a shedload of runs and a few wickets
  19. Do we know if Eskinazi is available for selection this week?
  20. He’s in the England squad for next week. So definitely not this week.
  21. Come on son, own it! PS we’ve all been guilty of this!
