Because United are one of the odious big six. Much rather they were knocked out. We’ve had sufficient success that we can afford to enjoy a local rival enjoying some success.

This is absolutely on the money. He’s trying to copy the Pep way. We can all see that. But Pep has the best players in the world at his disposal. Arteta at Arsenal needed time and huge investment to develop his team. Kompany, at Burnley, was hugely successful in the Championship but has never looked liked keeping Burnley in the Prem. At times, Enzoball has been great for us. But under pressure, the philosophy has struggled. That’s when he needs to show that he has elite leadership potential by figuring a way through, not just sticking to his philosophy. It’s a big week for him. He needs to implement some tactics which leave the opposition confused. For me, that involves ensuring the two centre backs do not go marauding into the opponents half as it leaves us to open when they inevitably are dispossessed. in terms of personnel, it’s clear to everyone Patson must come out of the firing line. So he has to pick one from three there. I’m not a big Dennis fan, but he’s looked more direct and influential coming on as sub in the last two games. So he starts for me. And the experience and graft of Coady comes in for Faes.

Hypothetical question. Let’s say we now go on to win the league, with Enzo as a manger. Although it feels unlikely at the moment, we all know form can change so quickly. So if you’ve voted Out now, and in a few weeks we are promoted, would you change your mind, or would you sack the manager who leads us to promotion? Not looking to pick a fight, just interested in your perspective.

And we would have to pay compensation to both Enzo and Cov. We cannot afford to do this anymore. We would have to have an out of work manager

I’m not laughing at you. But I think you are over playing the doomsday scenario. We are undoubtedly in trouble, and the next few years might be decidedly challenging. I think we face a points deduction regardless of the league we are in, unless the whole points deduction thing gets scrapped, which I think will happen, as it’s making a mockery of the league system

Championship may be better for us. With the mess we are in I fear the Prem would be a Sheff Utd like experience. Miserable. So we sell whatever we can this summer as well as saying goodbye to out of contract JV, MA, Wilf, Kelechi and Jannik. Yunus and Callum go back to host clubs. Don’t think we will be able to buy Fats. We will certainly sell KDH. Hopefully can find buyers for Wout and Patson (I’ve so wanted him to be a success here ). There might be offers for some other players, but as the OP said we then use players in contract but out on loan, or youngsters. We try and pick up a couple of freebies (we have to get our finances in order). Mid table next season, then hopefully progress the season after with players like Cannon, Wanya, Alves, Braybrooke, Wormleighton, and hopefully still one or two of the likes of Coady, Ricky P and Winks to provide a core of experience.

What do you specifically want to happen? You’re cross. We’re all cross. But how do we demand better? Last Saturday the atmosphere was better than it has been for some time, and arguably helped us over the line to a 2-1 win. Do you want booing? Do you want a protest outside the ground? And what specifically are you asking for? Who do you want out? How do you demand accountability for our fall from grace over the last two years? I don’t know for sure, but I don’t suspect any club has ever sacked a manger whilst it sits top of the table. I totally understand your frustration, but I suspect part of it stems from the fact that in all truth there is nothing we can do. We’ve had five years of unbelievable glory. Now we have years of misery ahead.

I think I’d accept offers for any one of our players this summer. We need to start again. Most likely in the Championship. There is such a disconnect at the moment: - we feel we can challenge the football authorities despite obviously breaking the rules - we have little appetite to fight for victories - the club see us as customers. They treat supporters trying to do something special , like the Vardy tifo, with disdain - they never grant media interviews as they have no wish to be held to account. We have become an arrogant club . An entitled club. And it’s horrible to witness.
