  1. Faes trying to bring the ball down there
  2. 2 year deal but an option of a 3rd, which Ayew can choose to activate
  3. Yeah, it's not a great video at all. But been linked with Liverpool, Spurs, Leverkusen, Dortmund, Rennes (who have cash) so must be something about him.
  4. The commentary on the second clip sums up why it's irrelevant that Palace fans rate him. He was their top scorer at some point, must have been some tough competition
  5. Ermm, hello?! Meant to be pretty damn good is he not?
  6. You want to ban somebody because they have a different opinion to you? Sounds healthy. (And I completely disagree with their opinion as well)
  7. Sorry! Realised you were speaking about Ayew!
  8. What a crime for journalism that would be
  9. You're disagreeing with facts, not an opinion on the first point. Every single mention of he is as a forward, and a winger. When he plays wide he's been playing as a wide forward, like Barnes or Mavididi did/do. He's got a pretty much even split across his career when playing wide or up front (and you'll note that there is a spot for right midfield, so is very much in that wide forward role when he plays). 7 assists last season is decent but hardly 'very good'. And sadly that's a huge outlier where he's generally averaging 2/3 a season. I'm not disputing his all-round play but you cannot have that kind of record as a forward. We need some fresh impetus from a young and exciting player, not yet another person who's good at running around. If it's a 3 year deal for the fee reported, it shows you this club hasn't got a clue
  10. 'solid'. He's a forward who has a goalscoring/assist record of a holding midfielder. He's not an Albrighton who played as a more old school winger, with great delivery and work rate. Nor is he a big lump that we can pump the ball up to, in order to relieve some pressure. You cannot defend his record. It's an utter waste of a signing and squad place, one that also limits the chances for younger players. And this narrative about it being a good signing if he keeps us up. Jordan bloody Ayew is never going to keep you up. If we stay up, it certainly won't be because we pissed away £8m on him
  11. £8m if he was 5 years younger would still have been crap with his record. He's a forward; plays either up top or out wide so 4 goals a season is absolutely woeful regardless of his other attributes. Even if he was at 7/8 then you could see the benefit but he can't even muster that. Truly dreadful business
  12. Finally a new name but absolutely no chance with this one
  13. Just the way it's worded tells you it's definitely Rodgers. I mean, the manager is not able to give the players any sense of direction, it's clear he's lost the plot.
  14. I'd agree with you on height for JJ but he's got a good leap on him so maybe that makes him seem taller. Yeah, that Iheanacho one is a nonsense. I know he hunched over a bit but no way he's 6'1
  15. Justin is bang on 6ft according to most sites. Height is one of those weird things that is hard to get the right answer on even though the players have medicals etc. I remember Harvey Barnes was listed as 5'8 in most places until he was about 24
  16. Another exciting potential signing gone. Yay
  17. So it won't actually be an obligation, rather an option to buy. But journalists are reporting that as an obligation; can't beat football journalists for their intelligence
  18. Used to know somebody in the England camp. Plus it was referenced by at least one of the reputable journalists with England connections (can't remember the name). Adds up when you consider he got called up when he came back and his form had hardly been great.
  19. One thing at a time! Has really lacked consistency since he's been back but I do think people forget just how incredible he was during the season he got his injury. Word on the street was that he was locked in to be England's starting left back for the Euro's
  20. Looked promising. Hoping he's just not quite match sharp as then he'll get an extra half a yard when he is, and would explain why he left the ball behind a couple of times
  21. He was absolutely brilliant today. Probably the only player who didn't put a foot wrong. Fingers crossed we get this version of him back
  22. That passage on play from Soumare
  23. Hopefully gets an extra half a yard when he's a bit more up to speed.
