Yep as crass as it sounds Don't worry though, Bouba is coming on...
-
Udogie should be off and yet he's not been booked. Disgraceful
-
That's why Fatawu has the potential to be world class. Incredible ball
-
Ndidi and Fatawu look like they've just come back for pre-season.
-
Of all the ways to concede; A f****** Porro header

Spot on. He's said some of the right things as well but not playing Ricardo is absolutely mental. He must be carrying some kind of niggle for him to barely have featured
-
To be fair, I lived in London for the best part of a decade and I can say that I don't think I met a single Spurs fan who wasn't deluded when it came to football and/or a complete tool, so in this case I think it's understandable to see this posted!

Ideal world we would upgrade on Hamza and Soumare but if they're backups in our predicament, that's ok. Look at those attack minded options; absolutely shocking. 3 kids and only 1 of them has shown they could do a job. And I'm saying that as somebody who'd love Alves to play but that's as an alternative to a more senior player. Not sure Golding in physically ready. Mavididi is not a 10 and central not going to be playing a midfield 3 so that's underlining how awful our options are.
-
In isolation, it'd be a good signing. But with the fee reported (when we supposedly have money) and more importantly, the profile of midfielder he is, it makes little sense. We're desperate for a KDH replacement; somebody who can play as a conventional midfielder, but could play further forward by virtue of being able to create and chip in with a few goals, and carry the ball into advanced areas. Skipp doesn't do that. You can dispute the quality but we've already got Winks, Ndidi, Soumare and Choudhury who can play there. Why add another to that number when we are desperate for a striker, another wide option and the midfielder I've described above. Makes no sense
-
Agreed. Obviously a striker and some more options out wide are really needed but a proper central midfielder, who can carry the ball, chip in with goals and play in a more advanced role is absolutely pivotal to me. Maybe that's Buonanotte but still think we need another
-
Agree with you to an extent but I think this underlines how atrociously run we are. Bournemouth are, in effect, a League 1 side in terms of infrastructure/fanbase etc. and they have just signed a player for more money than we ever have whilst having an absolute fraction of the success we had. That shows just how awful our commercial team was in raising money and how mental the wages must have been. Our net spend over the time in the PL was absolute peanuts compared to some. As time goes on, I'm actually getting impressed that we managed to break FFP/PSR
-
This narrative is so out of touch. I don't think anybody here is not grateful for all the success that we've had and achieved some incredible moments we wouldn't thought possible. Most of us will remember the real lows you talked about. But, we're not talking about 1 bad season, it's been several years of dreadful decisions that have completely undone all that good work. To put this into context, Bournemouth have just spent £40m on a player. That's more money than we ever did which underlines how unfair FFP is yes, but more importantly how utterly incompetent this board is when it comes to managing finances. They're so out of touch; Thai influences on the bus parade, Top making himself the centre of attention for that (which was essentially a correction of a mistake and not something he should ever be celebrating in the manner he did), Forcing people to pay extra to be able to use their season ticket, charging £10 for a bloody friendly game and still making absolutely no changes at board or exec level despite the biggest failure in PL history. Football has changed and completely sold it's soul after the Newcastle take over so these guys have been completely left behind, and they're hardly squeaky clean ethically. The longer KP stay, the more sour it will turn which is really sad but that's why they need to go. It's getting to the point that if you're really pro KP, do you really care about Leicester City football club?
-
Exactly and I think we all feel like that. He's never going to make those changes though which is the galling thing, a bit like with Rodgers when it was all going wrong; blind arrogance. Top is an absent owner and as you say, no issue if they have the right people in place. Unfortunately, even if he was a present owner that wouldn't sort much as he's still woefully out of his depth. Very sad it's come to this but here we are.
-
Agree with the sentiment but as in my response below this post, logically nothing changes until KP pack up and sell
-
But then wed be publicly outed as a total mess (because I think outside of the fanbase, it's just seen as a difficult season for us rather than the disaster it's shaping up to be) and you're scraping the bottom of the barrel for managers and even more players will be put off. There's no upside to that. Everyone is living in cuckoo land if they think the board is going to change anything. They didn't after the biggest failure in PL history and even the friction with Enzo last season. New owners are the only way.
-
Why an earth would anyone think losing a manager right after pre season would be a good idea, let alone the state we're in.
-
Perfect. What we've all been waiting for
-
I genuinely laughed because it almost turned into a cry. And still not half as pathetic as the jesters that run this club
-
Even so, what the hell do you expect him to do? If he shows some grit and accountability (sorely lacking from the club) he's gets a lot more slack from me. Doesn't mean I won't get annoyed at decisions he makes or if he does the the above things but he's got close to a free pass now.
-
This. It's all we can say

At the audiologist

I know that we have typically seen business done where rumours have emerged at fairly short notice before the signings, but it's concerning that we've barely been linked with any players either. That statement is a bit contradictory but I just think in the current state of things, the club would plant a few more false flags about players we're looking to create a sense that we're doing something. You'd also think journalists would snag a few more as well. Sure it's not indicative of what's going on but it definitely doesn't help the mood.
-
Sounds like absolute tosh. Wish he was considering selling but all the other stuff is hugely damaging (if it was true)
-
Yes it is. Because as a business that regularly operates overseas (in terms of transfers), you must surely have people within the club that understand the nuance and laws that apply to employment of foreign nationals or returning citizens? It's hardly a rare occurrence to encounter is it. What we don't know is it Zaha had this company set up to put his earnings in but otherwise, as a transfer team, you should be clued up on this. Think you've completely misunderstood my last point. I wasn't talking about what caused the issue, but rather talking about who is likely to blame based on the context. The tax issues are obviously the cause but it's one of the involved parties (if not all of them) that are to blame for it only becoming an issue at a late stage. Again, from what we know and what previous evidence we have, it's logical that Rudkin gets the blame.
-
We all know he is crap but I agree that any little thing is turned against him. However, in this case, it comes across as classic contrarianism from you. This is such basic due diligence and since tapping up is no longer a thing, Rudkin and co have no excuses for not getting in top of this early. Now Zaha could have changed his mind and be unwilling to accept what was agreed at first but that seems very unlikely as all that would do is piss off a prospective buyer even more who's then no longer willing to fight for you. We don't know all the facts, but from what we do know and the experience we have, i think it's fair to assume that this is all on Rudkin and team. To suggest otherwise without evidence is basic denial.
