Hahahahahaha. Been ok defensively (nowhere as bad as some people have made out) and 2 goals. Trolling of the highest order -

Can't expect much from Mavididi in this kind of game but even so, this is as close to a 1/10 performance as you could expect to see -

F****** Faes. Can easily hear the shout if keeper and he heads it out from under Hermansen -

Not a patch on the player he was but he's absolutely scapegoat number 1 for some of the chumps on here. Watch this game and you can see that every time a chance has come down that side has been either because somebody has given the ball away or because Faes is positionally all over the place. -

Course it was his fault. Ball given away cheaply and Faes then 10 yards behind everyone and not bothering to try and cover that run -
Only watched the second half but I think he beat Garner every single time he took him on. Nonsense

Would have needed to go to at least League 1 as first choice for us to get any kind of fee. Most clubs in League 1/2 still don't pay transfer fees, or when they do, it's not often exceeding a couple of hundred grand (probably equivalent of Young's wages)

Yep. We'd be 10 games in and still have to play Man City, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea and even the likes of Newcastle, Brighton and West Ham in those remaining 9 games (for that half of the season). 13 points after 10 games is good isolation but not so much when it's going to be a slog to get to a point a game in the other set of fixtures.

Even the 8k is a nonsense. Theoretically, both the PS5 and Series X can do 8k but obviously no developer would prioritise that and it's unlikely to be done in a way without massively dialling down the visuals. Besides, how many people actually have 8k TVs, and even less likely to have that hooked up to a PS5. 4k60 is great but it's basically that and a bigger SSD for nearly double the price (without a disc drive). Absolute madness. Sony is losing the plot a bit atm so desperately need MS to pull their fingers out and actually produce some good games, just to get the standards up across the board. Some real anti consumer stuff going on but to be expected without reasonable competition. Though it would have been quite funny if MS pulled this. Would love to see the meltdown

£700 for the PS5 Pro. And it doesn't even have a disc drive . It's cheaper in dollars than it is in euros as well, so reverse exchange rate. My PS5 is my second console so was never going to upgrade but surely it's not worth the upgrade for anyone who was thinking it. Unless money is no object for you.

For me, it's how quickly he shifts the ball out of his feet for a shot. 3 goals in there where he barely moves the ball but enough, and in such a shift motion that it's unplayable. And I'm talking about world class defenders would have no chance with that (obviously would have ways to stop him before that). So I've seen that, you've rightly commented on his vision and there's many more things that stand out. Hope he gets a chance here because he looks like he's got it all.

Huh? He's a director, so he absolutely will have budgetary control and have input into what can be spent overall and on an individual basis. That's absolutely standard practice in all businesses so would be amazed that it's not the case here. Unless you know the inner workings, since you're calling out people for not knowing his full remit, then making an assumption that goes against all standard practice and logic? Of course he's not the one who has ultimate accountability for finances but given we're a football club, our main transactions are likely to be on the footballing side of things. We don't have a technical director that I'm aware of (more than happy to be corrected on that), so Rudkin's role would include oversight and final sign off of all incoming transfers, outgoing transfers, contract renewals and recruitment and termination of the footballing staff (though realise that manager appointment would be a shared process). Given the overwhelming majority of our problems stem from the mismanagement of the footballing side, and the financial mismanagement related to that, it's completely understandable to lay the blame squarely at his door. Of course, our abysmal commerciality is another big supplementary factor and nothing to do with Rudkin. It needs more than just Rudkin gone for sure, but clearly removing Rudkin and getting somebody in who is competent and not Top's lapdog will absolutely have a massive positive change so not sure why you think it wouldn't?

Was just thinking before I saw this that it's a shame the announcement wasn't a couple of days before a game, or at least not right at the start of the international break.

Not really because that was still hanging over us in the summer and has limited what we could do to the squad. However, it has definitely ensured that the fuse is going to light a lot faster for each mistake he makes and there is a chance he will get sacked if we're in trouble at Christmas.
-
As Harboro has alluded to, on this technicality, we haven't breached? We would have been in breach of the rules if they applied to us but they didn't. For example, if a championship club loses £200m over 3 years, they haven't breached any PL rules, since they are not a member (would of course be breaching FL rules but that's a different matter) There needs to be a distinction between: Yes- We exceeded the allowable losses No - We did not breach the PSR rules If we had breached the rules, then we absolutely should have been fined, as unfair as that may be. But I also think that we took our punishment by not investing in the team in the summer of 22/23 and subsequently getting relegated, so other fans would do well to remember that. Look at the fact that Ipswich have spent more in gross terms this summer than we ever did, and the net spend far beyond anything we did. Not like we were picking up players of free transfers but £300k a week either and that's where we gained our advantage. Unfortunately, our overspend was because of sheer incompetence (which still needs to be addressed) rather than giving ourselves a competitive advantage because the salaries paid were not allowing us to sign players typically out of our reach, but rather overpaying on players we could have attracted anyway.

Wait, he's got some kind of microchip in my brain and is controlling my every thought and actio... No idea what you're on about mate, Rudkin is the greatest Director of Football out there. 50 more years!
-
About which bit? Because if it's that I haven't seen any of that (and for clarity, not that it should be needed, I'm talking about serious criticism and not tongue in cheek), you don't have my eyesight or my memory so you literally cannot tell me that I'm wrong
-
Well the first 2 are certainly his fault because that's what he is accountable for? I don't think I have ever seen anybody suggest that anything not to do with recruitment of players and managers (i.e. the footballing side), is his fault? And ironically, if he had hired this guy, that would further highlight how inept our management structure is since he would be making a decision outside his remit and one that should be taken by the CEO/owner
-
Yes to both! I meant it more about how he's been asked to play. Although to be fair, he was also effectively a wingback at times under Maresca but because of the control we have, he had freedom of the right flank so was doing both the defending and attacking. Got to find a way to get him more involved going forwards but also think he needs to get a bit of clarity back, as he seems unsure whether to pass or attack the opposing full back and has then been caught dallying on the ball

But it doesn't mention their ability to grow commercial income post PL title win which is absolutely key factor in why we've failed PSR. Not saying we should be getting Man United level income but the fact we couldn't have massively grown it with all the global interest, is pathetic. They wanted to keep KP on the shirts but not provide good value income from that sponsorship, says all about the way they have run it. Last I checked, we still have more followers on social media than any club outside the 'big 6,'. Yet our commercial income is way behind some of our rivals. The first point is so generic and not worth including, since it's just an umbrella term for 'the club didn't manage finances' which is king of obvious.

Says it all about Fatawu's start to the season. More tackles than full backs or defensive midfielders. Only Sangare with more. Yet nowhere to be seen on the chances created
