I think we've got enough data points over the last 5 years to suggest that the appointment of Enzo is the exception that proves the rule.
-
Please for the love of god take one for the team and ask him. By all accounts he's a nice guy!
-
My nervousness on Rohl is that he makes too much sense. This club hasn't made a sensible decision for about 5 years, it makes no sense that they would suddenly be able to get this right. Someone like Carrick, O'Neill or Dyche still feels so much more likely to me than a genuinely good fit like Rohl.

yes yes yes guys make some noise for your new Leicester city fc manager
-
I must confess I haven't followed much of the post-season fall out on here, but is the general understanding that something happens today? Even by our standards to have nothing in place by now is pretty shambolic.

Leicester fans since the hiring of Steve Cooper: "I don't think this board could make me any more apathetic about this club if they tried" Leicester board since relegation: "Hold my beer"
-
If this is the case, it's a sensible move. It's a bit of a free pass for the disgraceful lack of communications since relegation, but there's no need to rush into the wrong appointment or decision.

Also - I don't hate the fact we're waiting around. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a tactic - the people in charge are just clueless, but... We hired Cooper because we thought we were getting a points deduction. He was the cheap option and we were writing off the season. If there's even a slither of a possibility that we find out our fate before pre-season, we should be leaving it til the last second to decide how much money we want to spend on a) sacking Ruud and b) potentially paying compensation. -
I'd be interested to understand if the fact that he interviewed at Cov/Norwich and got overlooked was brought up in any discussions internally. Seems utterly baffling that we'd go for someone who couldn't get mid table championship clubs but hey ho.
-
We hired the last manager based on four games in english football, his aura & an impressive career at Manchester United. He's exactly the sort of calibre of manager we'd go for
-
This is where I can't blame Rudkin. He's shown more than enough times since he's become Top's shadow that he isn't fit for purpose in a job as pressurised & high profile as DOF of a top 10 English team (Which we absolutely should be). Not a chance any other club worth their sort pays him the £350k basic yearly salary that he is on. Cannot blame Rudkin for waiting to be sacked. Too much £ involved.
-
Our situation has gone from being laughable to flat out cringeworthy at this stage. Such a mess. I don't even know where to start when someone who's not a Leicester fan asks me what's going on with the club
-
Not had this confirmed but been informed Martin has spent the day looking at himself in the mirror. Rudkin in awe of his aura.

It would've been different had he not picked Ward against Wolves, I have absolutely no doubt about that. We may well have still been relegated with a number of games to spare, but he lost thousands of fans support that day and never came close to winning it back. -
But forget the owner for a second, this is a £100m business (formerly significantly bigger than that). For all of the sarcasm we throw at them, it cannot possibly just be Susan, Rudkin & Top sat in a board room making decisions. Surely there are handfuls of other people at board level at least finger pointing?!
-
I'm sure this point has been made more eloquently than this, but it is literally unbelievable that the club would make the mistake of hiring someone the fanbase are so obviously against after what happened with Cooper. A film that we've not only seen before, but one where the end credits are still rolling. Also, can someone please explain to me why Rudkin is still in a position to make these decisions? In what other work of life are you able to cock up business-critical decisions with real-life impacts to a business ? (I'd wager his decision to not sack Rodgers, hire Smith, hire Cooper & hire Ruud have cost the business north of £100m). That's before you get into any of the catastrophic signings we've made on the playing side. Why is no one accountable?

Yes Yes Yes Jamie Vardy, the man, the myth, the legend, the goat my man can you just tilt your head to the right and look at these fans and tell them what they mean to you wow everyone give it up for the GOAT
-
In a season full of absolute head in hands moments from a fan-experience perspective, he is right up there with the worst decisions the club has made. Nothing against the chap personally, you can see he's trying his hardest. But the fit is just absolutely hideous. He sounds like he's hosting a late night Kiss FM radio show. Another massive own goal by the club.

Would be good to see Faes & Soumare get a run out

People will call Ward recency bias but we'll be here in 25 years reminiscing about how disastrous he has been for us, I have no doubt about that. -

In fairness he admitted his mistake pretty quickly on Cooper. It won't be about admitting mistakes now, it'll be purely financial. Not sure anyone could think hiring Ruud was anything other than a mistake! -
Wazzer & Gerrard duo for me. If we're gonna fold due to the ineptitude of the ownership we may as well have a laugh doing it.
-
I'm at this point with this joke of a football club, where I am willing Ruud to pick Ward just to see the melt down.

It's pretty unacceptable that we haven't heard anything from the club isn't it. We're being taken the piss of and it's become the norm since 2021.
