  1. Big focus on us on The Cricketer's podcast this week, including an interview with Lewis Hill. They've interviewed Hill on their website too: https://www.thecricketer.com/Topics/county-cricket-premium/lewis_hill_leicestershire_can_use_memory_one_day_cup_triumph_promotion_push.html?t=638816109739928747
  2. Any sponsor in their right mind would be demanding their money back if the comments on these posts are the kind of "engagement" they're getting.
  3. Well worth a visit. Dominates the town's skyline. Probably my favourite one I've done in Germany.
  4. Again, the kind of day where in years gone by we'd have gone to pot. Gloucestershire are a poor side but getting the result in those circumstances is the kind of thing genuine promotion contenders do, even when they're having a wobble.
  5. Take the point. That game was at Derby though.
  6. St David's Day isn't a bank holiday in Wales. Maybe we'd get today off if we all stopped being so whiny about it. My daughter was asked to wear red and white for her nursery to mark today, by the way. Now she's been thrown in jail for saying she's English.
  7. In short... Leicester fans choosing how they spend their own money deserves scrutiny. The Leicester board choosing how they spend Leicester fans' money doesn't. KPFC all over.
  8. A pint of Damm Lemon, trying to replicate the hit from working near Almeria last week, where Estrella de Levante Verna radler hit the spot at the end of a few stressful days. The standard lager there was a typical Mediterranean number, absolutely fine for the climate, but the Verna's what I decided to bring home with me in tins on the plane. Must have been subconsciously influenced by all the lemon trees around there.
  9. It's the Leicester Mercury, it's kind of their job...
  10. Beyond this forum I'm not seeing it. King Power have Sportswashed most of the fanbase. People saying they'd fight in the trenches with Top ffs, as if he'd be there with them.
  11. Wouldn't put it past our players to be staring up at the sky instead of concentrating on the game, actually.
  12. Nice piece on Scriven yesterday from the Paul Edwards... https://www.thecricketer.com/Topics/county-championship-premium/tom_scriven_strikes__leicestershire_refuse_follow_script.html?t=638807425272019307
  13. So pleased for him. When his tail's up he's a great bowler to watch. Wild that he's batting Jack too in a year where I thought he'd move up a place or two in the order most games.
  14. Good weekend to have chucked Fergus O'Neill into my Cricket Draft team.
  15. Saw Hurst make his first ton last year and he's a very legsided player. Making it too easy for him here with the lines we're bowling.
  16. Used properly, drums complement atmospheres. As you point out though, too many in England (not all) have no idea how to use them properly.
  17. Still absolutely criminal 20 years on. And bad long-term business by Sky too.
  18. He's a Northants fan.
  19. Time to look at bonus point reform? That said, getting 5 batting points is really tricky.
  20. 610 in yesterday, according to The Cricketer. Nothing to shout about, but imagine that's better than most opening day gates in recent years? https://www.thecricketer.com/Topics/county-championship-premium/unfamiliar_territory_brings_best_leicestershire_derbyshire.html?t=638800331227615153
  21. Worth bearing in mind that this Derbyshire side have improved over the winter - and their attack's had an upgrade on last week's win too now Tickner's back. Need to stop Jewell and the inevitable Madsen when they get in!
  22. Decided not to with a bit of potential financial uncertainty at home, mixed with only being able to make a minority of games. I'd usually find on balance it was worth keeping, even so, but the club's disgusting treatment of supporters tipped me over the edge. I no longer want to give my time or money to people who despise me and couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my concerns when I informed them of my cancellation. It's going to be tough missing out, but ultimately a club who I've followed loyally for more than 30 years have made a decision like this far too easy.
  23. Even if they did, they've already stayed on that "bandwagon" through one relegation. Just look at this thread, plenty who've had STs for decades but have finally had enough of KPFC.
  24. They're the same thing.
