Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship

Got you. Plenty get moved to Sundays, or even Saturday evenings, in the Bundesliga. -
Reform placard was going up around the corner from us earlier this evening. Heart sank a bit. People are being conned - again.

Eurostar via Brussels and Cologne is more enjoyable if you have the time and don't mind spending a bit extra. -

Great stuff. Sure him or someone he knows would be able to sort you for getting into the ground. And definitely get involved next season! Set aside a whole afternoon for the Football Museum too! Brilliant place. -

Hope you enjoyed meeting JK yesterday @Ashley. An absolutely top bloke. -
This is what happens when a governing body essentially act like their product's shit (which it isn't). The public lose faith too. Such a shame, there were as many internationals on show today, past and present, as you might have got in the equivalent fixture pre-central contracts. So pleased with how we manage to defend totals like that when the odds are against us. The Cup win last year seems to have done a lot for our mentality in the limited overs stuff.

Disappointing nosedive again there. Doubt that's enough.

Him 50 not out at half-way is where we want to be every innings, but now he's too few partners left to exploit that position!

Ask him for a Fanta Peng. Proper drink. -
Not sure why it didn't work out with Munsey before at our place.

A homebrewed lager made by one of the UFS lads for the annual charity tournament today. Genuinely very good. Got treated to a few from the Everard's shop earlier too, so just enjoying a tin of their Helles. Doesn't really taste like a Bavarian beer, but it should be more ubiquitous in their pubs. Plenty of flavour.

One associate nation's already through to the last 8. Another could follow. I'd say that suggests the trend for letting more of them have a crack at the big boys can only be a good thing. -
Fair one. For what it's worth, I still believe in reading and listening to a broad range of opinions. I do think Starmer has handled internal party politics poorly at times - but ultimately that doesn't matter because the bloke's trying to run a basket case of a country, not a pissing Student Union.

Dunno. Just fed up of people who are more arsed about wanting to appear the smartest person on social media than they are about the fact our country's gone to the fvcking dogs. Felt the same about the "oooo I'm soooooo #FBPE but could never vote for Corbyn!" mob too. They knew the alternative and yet they let it happen. If any of them were that smart then they'd accept your choices right now are to back the fella who, despite not being absolutely perfect in every way, is actually offering a better deal for most folks - including those who desperately need it - or to back the mob offering you more of what we've had for the past 14 years. That's what our electoral system offers. It's shite, but that's the game. So either keep on bitching for those sweet, sweet echo chamber likes and let poor folk keep suffering, or do the right thing. It's a no-brainer.

Scary too when you think about how many internationals they'd have in that side most years if the global T20 circus didn't exist.

Fair enough on climate policy, but I'm struggling to find the claims you make about LGBT Rights anywhere in the section on that issue? Apologies if I'm being thick. There are plenty of policies in there that would do loads of good for millions and millions of people. Just because it's not what was pitched in 2017 and 2019 doesn't mean it offers "nothing good". Literally everyone reading this thread would benefit from the policies outlined in it to some degree.
-
It's beyond me. Sure, most people enter elections with their own prejudices but we'd be miles better off as a nation if people actually read the detail of what each party is proposing.
-
Honestly, if people have actually read the thing and still think this then they're being wilfully ignorant at this stage.

Would thoroughly recommend John Bew's biography of Attlee. Being a good PM is about being a good manager, you don't have to be flash as long as you have the temperament to manage the talent at your disposal well. I despair that people still want an entertainer, despite that floppy-haired nonce taking the piss out of literally the whole country. If that didn't make you realise the whole "I'd love to have a beer with him!" attitude produces shite leaders (who'd never have a beer with you in a billion years, by the way) then nothing will.

Think the question soon will be which format England cap Hull in first, rather than whether he'll be capped. I know he's mooted for Test honours but I reckon that'd break him without at least two or three years of further Championship experience under his belt. Generally handles the pressure well in white ball stuff so hopefully he's rewarded if he carries on like this.

Agree. That's the way to do it.

That Grimsby one would look great without the sponsor.

It's not that long ago it was considered a Lib Dem target seat, but that collapsed in 2010 and never recovered. Think folks at the other end of that particular constituency are hopefully finally waking up to the fact local young people have been priced out of living in their own hometown, and that whichever Tory is parachuted in can no longer take their vote for granted. Fully on board with your FPTP point.

Part of Harborough, which was last Labour in 1950. Seems to be predicted to go red on most maps I've seen lately, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Just love how the crowd were silent after being invited to applaud too. I know it's coz of the shiteness of the set-up, but I'm enjoying these low-scoring thrillers.
