It seems to have degraded into a really tricky pitch. Play aggressively, you’ll get a good one, play defensively, you’ll get a good one, so there’s not much you can do apart from try and cash in. Yesterday we played defensively and screwed ourselves so maybe trying to learn from that

Would also defy the point of choosing to bat in the first place. You don’t want to be batting 4th on a turning wicket. The more I think about it, it makes sense to bat again. Even if it’s a complete disaster 300-350 will be a near impossible chase.

I’d bat again but if the pitch really is deteriorating, it must be tempting to put them back in and get the innings win. Risky though.
