It really resembles the last days of Rome. A collapsing empire with nowhere left to turn except within itself. Eventually if we build and sustain some pressure, something will give. But for now these spineless cowards are worried and will do everything they can to suppress any discontent.

It wasn’t Cooper that put down £25 million and 5 year contract. I don’t see how we can ever shift him unless a Saudi league or MLS team come in for him. No prem club will touch him, no championship club could afford him. It’s up to whether the player will be willing to take a massive wage cut to play regular football in future.

Are there any other top level clubs that still have the same people in these positions as 8 years ago? It’s football, a sport that changes very rapidly, you HAVE to evolve to keep up or else it’ll spit you out. We have financial capability which makes the whole thing more frustrating. We have the funds to compete as a mid table premier league team, but they’ve thrown it all away.
