Would rather play Notts in a semi to be honest but yeah. Finishing top gives us a lot of rest before the semi though. Every other team will have played twice by the time we play again on Sunday. You’d like to think that’ll benefit us especially given the heat.

Ah well, the dream was nice while it lasted. Can’t see us winning 3 consecutive games sadly.

So if they get 200 all out in 40 overs, the run rate would be 5, but they project it as if they’ve used the whole 50 overs, so it would actually be 4, if that makes sense? Unless they’re all out in less than 40 overs I don’t think it’ll make that much difference today.

Unless they get bowled out in less than 50 overs, which means it would be a bit more. I can’t see how they don’t get 231 on that pitch but you never know once panic sets in, you just know they’ll lose early wickets.

Just stuck the stream on, they’re getting 420+ easily. Boundaries are incredibly short.

Their bowling attack is pretty weak though, Bailey is decent but the rest not so much.

Yep so if Surrey get 300 (underestimate), Notts would need to chase in within 32 overs to overtake us. Basically impossible. Any higher than 300 and that over number reduces. Can’t see Surrey winning by 290. Taunton is always a good batting deck and it’s hard to see Lancs getting past the 350+ they’d probably need to stand a chance. I’m confident we’ve done it.

They’d need to win by 200+ to have any hope of overtaking us. Nice quiet starts all round which suit us. Hopefully it’ll be pretty clear we won’t be overtaken by 2pm and we can have a restful afternoon.
