The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
westernpark replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
Ran 20k today in 1 hour 50 training for something, where I know we’ll be going slowly. Aiming for 30k on Monday, not bothered about the time. -
I think he did probably want to go to Chelsea but wouldn’t have been enamoured by a move to Brighton, Brentford etc, with us in the same premier league. A deal has been lined up for him to go somewhere for the past year and he’s been managing his optics in that time superbly. He’s definitely not a snake and deserves to be fondly remembered with the rest of that championship winning team.
-
Good luck to him after a great season in the Championship. If rumoured fee is correct, we’re lucky to have received so much for him. I bet he didn’t expect to be joining Chelsea, after being so close to joining Fulham last season.

If they can substantiate the claim then fair enough, otherwise they’ve just repeated nonsense rhetoric that Thatcher and even before would have repeated.

Salmon wallpaper has invaded the King Head. Thankfully they can keep a pint and conversation their still!

England v Switzerland - Saturday 6 July

What time is it on? -
Leicester West- can’t vote for Kendall, so I will vote Green instead. I did consider the One Leicester party, until they thought Keith Vaz was a legitimate candidate.
-
I think it would need about 1million minimum to sort it out, even when not changing use.
-
Think the pub mentioned has already been granted planning permission for student flats and is owned by a well known developer. Good luck.
-
In the Championship, yes. Doesn’t mean I necessarily want to sell him but the deal represents good value for money, especially if it’s Chelsea.
-
You can say he’s not Premier League quality because he has been underwhelming when playing in the division, across the two seasons he did.
-
Him and Hamza can split an Uber.
-
I worry about his injury record.

Sommar has closed down.
-
Exactly! It’s a very strange one but could be excellent for us if we can get 40 million for him.
-
Danny Drinkwater.
-
Where’s that? I’m sure I’d bring it down to a 7/10.
-
Not when they’re pissed they can’t (reference to me).

People in pubs and bars watching the football, without buying anything from the premises. You don’t have to drink alcohol but it’s a bit tight…

The media haven’t reported much of what you’ve said. I don’t have social media but have been told the points you’ve made. Still not sure why it’s such a pertinent story within the general election period. That strange interview with the woman(back to camera)and the go fund me page, I believe are a result of media scrutiny. And regarding LCFC, I moan about King Power more than most. I know you do too.

Not sure who decided that the young person missing was really that important for the public domain. Let the emergency services look for them, rather than this weird, almost social media like updates.

It’s a soft launch I reckon.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
westernpark replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
The spending in January 2023 had no impact in the grand scheme of things on any FFP or PSR. It was years of mismanagement of not creating a conveyor belt, that meant signings were on affordable contracts and to be able to be sold for fees. You only have to look at the number of free transfers we have given to players, who we have signed for over 10 million, to realise we have not operated responsibly, for a very long time. Then, asking for silly prices for people like Iversen, despite having four goalkeepers, has ultimately caused us to break the rules. -

They’re playing within the rules, their behaviour isn’t the reason we’re going to punished by those rules.
