  1. Not a like for your last paragraph. But your opinion is very understandable from an American perspective. However, the day we play a domestic game abroad, will be the day I relinquish my season ticket. I enjoyed your perspective on the baseball though, I’ll be definitely go in 2026, doubt the Brewers will make it over here though. I realise I’m being contradictory on going to baseball in this country but not wanting Leicester to play a domestic game abroad!
  2. Where are people watching it? Can’t say I’m a huge fan of watching in pubs but read an article in The Observer on Sunday, talking about consumer habits changing because of Covid, re more likely to book than previously for big events like football tournaments.
  3. To be honest I wouldn’t take much notice of my opinion as I can’t even spell Keir Starmer properly. Ed Davey is a good guy and the topic you mention is an important one that often gets brushed under the carpet. I know people who have spent a lot of money on caring for their parents, whether elderly or not. What about those who cannot afford this?
  4. Unless they’ve seen the sticker book and have been fooled into thinking Luke Thomas is an England international and therefore they agree to a straight swap, I can’t see this happening.
  5. Kier Starmer also seems like a genuinely good bloke. People just want an entertainer rather than a professional who has an extensive history of running a public service.
  6. What is their beer offering?
  7. Every year they are trying to ‘speed up’ the process. Brownfield presumption idea this year completely undermines the challenges of building on many brownfield sites where there isn’t the infrastructure to support housing(it should always be done as part of a regeneration project). We are seeing more change of use applications, you only have to look at the Leicester mercury and there have been two poorly thought out applications rejected within the last two/three weeks. The problem with speeding up any process is you’re going to get chancers and some of these will get through.
  8. Anyone had to do an Experian background check for a job? I’ve had to submit one this week and as I’ve been technically self-employed since September, I’m struggling to show evidence(the company I’ve worked for were happy to give me a reference but apparently this isn’t enough). Been in a work placement since my MA, so only worked a few paid days a month to pay for stuff. According to HMRC, it’s gonna take about a month to sort, delaying my new job.
  9. Yeah I’ve heard this happened to others but unless you’ve booked, I suppose it just shows how fresh it is. Although, think as they now do Uber Eats it happens more often.
  10. If you’re on about Maurizio’s, then yes! When my parents went they said one of the servers was holding a young child whilst taking orders, etc. The google reviews are very funny too, the bloke has a lot of sass.
  11. Reckon Shankland will start for the first game now?
  12. Maurizio’s is okay for the food but the experience in the restaurant is abysmal and the charm is worn off quickly. Peter Pizzeria is in a great location with pizza that is at least equal to Maurizio’s but quicker and far better service. Martin Bros pizza is outstanding. Toppings probably aren’t too traditional but quality feels so fresh, on par with La Gaby in Buxton. Beer is so fun as well. Plus the location feels very cool.
  13. The frustration that someone who did Sports and Recreation at Leeds Beckett holds so much on our club. I wish I had the confidence to BS my way to being a successful agent. Fair play.
  14. Jon Ashton, Jon Stevenson, hopefully not Will Alves.
  15. I’ve been to both Peter Pizzeria and Martin Bros pizza this week. Martin Bros is absolutely superior. However, Peter’s will always be better than Maurizio’s.
  16. Still one of the best games ever made!
  17. Thanks I’ll try that next week. Took my 2 hours and 15 minutes altogether to get through.
  18. 3 years and he’s still buying his clothes out of Redgate Animal Sanctuary Charity shop.
  19. HMRC- been cut off three times now trying to get a letter for proof of self-employment.
  20. One Leicester have completely undermined themselves and all their other candidates by bringing Vaz back.
  21. I had the Snow Leopard in the King’s Head, Leicester. Interesting beer.
  22. At least Anderton played and scored at a World Cup.
  23. Yes I know, I unfortunately worked in a bookies before University and the smallest thing could alter a price. When Karanka left Middlesbrough, a man from the north-east came in out of the blue about a week before wanting to put 50 quid on him leaving. I rang the traders away from the counter and by the time I’d finished the call, the guy had apparently ran off.
  24. That’s a sensible viewpoint but this is Leicester city run by Jon Rudkin. I believe we are asking too much for him, we rejected 4 million for Iversen after all.
  25. He was 12/1 earlier this morning, now at sixes.
