I’ve not read the whole thread so haven’t seen your full argument but the idea that Wout’s inclusion leads to less goals is mind boggling. I think we are both on the same page that we are missing an aggressive, clever CDM but Wout is beyond shit. As for Okoli not being directly involved in a goal- See his attempt at marking/challenging for a header for Duran’s goal, didn’t he provide a through ball for one of United’s goals in the cup as well or have I imagined that? I defended the signing of Okoli having watched him at Atalanta but the reality is that at the minute he is also not good enough, although better than Wout which is hardly an achievement. Despite being massively flawed himself, I’d say Vestergaard is our best defender. To summarise, we are absolutely ****ed but I wonder if a decent CDM would provide a huge help.
