We can expect a belated one

It’s pretty clear that everyone has just assumed this would happen and nobody has either stopped to ask if it is or at a higher level taken ownership to actually do it. I guess this is probably the level of oversight you might expect from a small business, not from us.

Looks to me like a complete dropping of the ball rather than ignoring it but who knows. Either way it’s a huge concern, as if you have a company that hasn’t got the foresight and controls to actually take ownership and check if you are going to pay your staff on the usual time frame (at Christmas, I know they are paid later but this always happens) then you can see how we have ended up being a shambles all over the place.

if you are going to do that, today is the ideal day but that’s another to the list of goals he’s been hugely at fault for. It’s a shame because his shot stopping is excellent (other than when he palms it straight out into the 6 yard box). Hopefully it is just a case of needing the experience and getting these out of the way but it’s going to be difficult if he makes many more.

Got 10 miles in before the game today and really enjoyed it. The stretch of canal from Wigston to Foxton Locks is stunning when the sun is out.

I agree with all of that, especially the last sentence and I genuinely think that is where we would take.

To get us up from where we are now would take 5/6 signings to hit the ground running and our manager to suddenly become tactically competent, neither of these are going to happen. It’s shit that this is where we are as a club, but I genuinely think he improves us and we are currently at risk of going down with a points deduction. If he ended up scoring a few goals to keep us up then fair enough. That said, a player declining who then nearly dies in a car crash and can’t get another club is not filling me with confidence.
