Sven Sad News released on Talksport
ianormondroyd replied to justfoxes's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thinking back to Coventry away at the start of what we hoped would be a charge to the big time under Sven. Didn't work out, but was gutted when he left. Maybe it's time for a mass 'Sven wave' in a show of support? -
If it helps, my son and nephew go to most away games on adult tickets. Never had an issue anywhere, so far...

Cardiff away - 29th December (7.45pm)
ianormondroyd replied to Permafrost's topic in Ticket News and Travel
In my experience of collecting from away grounds (when tickets haven't arrived in the post) they only put the lead bookers name on the envelope and ask for their ID. Although they say each person needs ID. I collected one I'd bought using my dads ref for a game earlier in the srason for my son, I just walked in gave my last name and they handed it over. I was a bit worried I'd have to pretend to be 20 yrs older and make out I'd just lost my wallet or whatever, but it was all fine. Each time I've had to do it (probably 5 or 6 times in the past few seasons) theyve never asked for ID and it's been my name as the person that booked rather than references of other ticket holders on the envelope. Having said all of this I can see why you'd be reluctant to travel to Cardiff and risk being turned away. . -

Ipswich (A) - 26th December - 7:45 KO

Please can somebody let me know If a spare becomes available before I leave at 3? Any age band will do. Ideally meet in Ipswich to collect. My nephew really wants to come. -
On that Friday night game just before Covid we didn't leave until about 16:10 and got there about 20 mins before KO. Dont forget Fox Travel have to stop for 45 mins whereas you don't. I think you'll be fine providing there are no major hold ups, particularly if parking is sorted. Having said all of this, after leaving at 14:00 yesterday I didn't arrive in Southampton until 20:25. That was a bus though!

On or around Cherry Lane there is free parking. I've used it a few times, you have to look carefully at the signs though as some of it is resident parking bays. It's quite good if you're running late as there is usually parking there pretty much up to KO. Decent as well if you need to get away promptly after. Approx 15 minute walk to Anfield.

Same here, it's driving me mad!

Think these will be in the shop soon. However, these are a fiver cheaper and a discount code for a further 10% is available. https://www.3retro.com/newin/newin/newin/1012_leicester-city-1990-bukta-third-retro-shirt.html Discount code: 3RETRO10

And wash it immediately afterwards

You can use acetone, needs to be pure as well, be careful though. Turn the shirt inside out and go from the back. Use a cotton bud or something similar and dab it on being careful not to let it run elsewhere on the shirt. Done correctly it should leave no trace. Bit tedious, but probably worth it in this case

I think the youth teams had Walkers sponsoring them.

Leeds Utd (A) - Tuesday 25th April 20:00
ianormondroyd replied to KrefelderFox666's topic in Ticket News and Travel
I think one of the things that sets the bigger clubs apart is that they're over subscribed for away games and so are balloted. Therefore, it's not always the same people, they probably only get a handful a season each. Whereas, with us all the same people go. I'd guess this adds to their atmosphere as its a bigger day out? -
Manchester United Away Sunday 19th Feb 14:00
ianormondroyd replied to SickoDicko's topic in Ticket News and Travel
I've never been in the quadrant as I'm not much of a pubgoer. However, there always seems to be a mix of fans in the beer garden (if that's what it is) just some benches at the entrance. But seems mixed anyway. -

Usually okay parking up there, I often do myself. If you can't get on Great Stone Road, try Kings Road. Pretty good for a swift getaway afterwards aswell. -

This is still available. Worth noting it's in the upper. It's someone from our group that can't now go and was sitting alone -

Gillingham Away- Saturday 7th January 12-30
ianormondroyd replied to lcfcdan11's topic in Ticket News and Travel
I have 1 spare ticket for this, potentially 2. Drop-outs due to covid. I can meet at the ground. Will post more info regarding the possible 2nd available ticket once I have it. The 2 are not seated together though, This ticket is in block 2. The 2nd (if it becomes available) will be in the covered seats. -
Absolutely agree. However, I'll buy this one in lieu of eventually finding the real deal one day. The home remake is actually really accurate aswell, the embroidery also makes it 'player spec' which is a nice little bonus

Was in the shop yesterday and saw a 90-92 bukta red third shirt hanging in the staff only area. Guessing this will be the next retro release along with the 2002-03 (not sure it's retro yet) shirt. Be worth keeping a look out as I'd imagine it'll be a quick seller. Save one for me though!

I was 9 at the time and this is exactly how I feel about Italia 90! Roger Milla was 38 then and he went on to play at USA 94 aswell, aged 42. Also vividly remember the opening game and Cameroon beating Argentina. My mum said she'd buy me an England shirt if England reached the semi's. Me: "Can I have a cameroon shirt?"
