I love the skill and unpredictably that Fatawu brings but I’m told that in training he has to pay the most forfeits for glaring misses from shots on goal. I can’t unhear this when he misses wildly. Props to him for scoring tonight though.

Voice got a red card for England U18s on his debut. Seems a nice lad.

Vardy guilty of this too in the Leeds match. The attackers coming deep to play one pass touches in the Leeds game felt like an unwelcome addition to our system.

I think he was played as an 8. -

He’ll might offer more there than the highly touted Casadei. -

We know Alves can play on the wings and in the 10 role. I suspect Maresca might try him in the 8 role. Hopefully the club playing him a while back as a DM in the development squad will now turnout to be a useful thing rather than madness as it seemed at the time. -
A third of the season gone - your thoughts?

Let’s face it, it’s been beyond our wildest dreams. Let’s hope it continues. -
My brother has a seat next to mine.

It wasn’t anything serious. Played last night and scored.

Pleasantly surprised. Put my ticket up late Thursday afternoon and resold first thing on Friday morning. Whoever bought it didn’t attend the game though! 🤷🏻♂️

I forgot to mention how poor I felt Casadei was. When he’s off it he really looks terrible.

Frustrating! Fatawu denied a goal of the season by the crossbar. They deserved it to be fair. That Piroe miss in the first 5 minutes was shocking. I thought Justin looked weak defensively at times. We also hurt ourselves with the excellent passes from Vestergaard to both Vardy and Iheanacho whose poor first touches instead of opening them up gave the ball away and led to dangerous counter attacks.

There's also an interesting book 'Talking to My Daughter About the Economy: A Brief History of Capitalism' by Yanis Varoufakis. Towards the end he speculates about AI will change the world. In short he predicts a kind of end of capitalism because AI will decimate so many job sectors there simply won't be enough waged people to keep buying products, which means the collapse of companies. The only way around this is that society shifts to being non-working people on universal wages. He predicts this will be a political battlefield. Corporations will want governments to pick up the tab for universal wages, he argues that it should be corporations that contribute to it, since they'll need it to survive.

AI will bring both amazing benefits and terrible consequences. There's a wonderful book called The Shallows, which is about the benefits and the drawbacks about the internet. It has chapters on the amazing benefits of other civilisation changing inventions like the printing press, the clock, and guns. Each one brings game changing benefits, but each one has a dark and unforeseen underbelly. AI will be exactly the same, but felt more keenly IMO. I fear what it will do for misinformation and politics. It will be even harder to discern what is true and what isn't, with terrifying consequences. In other areas it will be amazing.

Reluctantly put it up for resale. Hope it goes!

I have a spare ticket for Leeds in B1. Unfortunately you have to sit next to me! Face value. Cash only.

Bottom 3 PL..How do LCFC prevent this , next season…

He’s become our best and most important CB because he’s being used in a system that brings out his strengths. Look at his passing ability and stats and its importance in our first line of attack. Why replace him? He’s not the Vestergaard that was reduced to all his weaknesses in the way the Rodgers utilised him. I doubt we could find or afford another Fofana. All the players we have are also still new to our system. They’ll all keep getting even better. -
An amazing three points that. Sets us up nicely for Leeds. We have to improve to win that though.

The KDH free kick after the sending off was terrible. They were feeling sorry for themselves.

Same. I think it’s QPR TV. Literally.

Let’s hope they can push each other on.

I have this game down as a dangerous banana skin. You even know it’s there and you shouldn’t be daft enough to slip on it, but…

Why don’t more managers get it? Ferguson proved way back in the 90s that you can successfully integrate ‘kids’. How old was Giggs when he was thrown in? If memory serves right he may have been 17 and he did a job straight away - as we’ve seen some of our academy lads do already. I expect Alves will be no different and, quite possibly - if he can make a full recovery from an awful injury - the pick of the bunch.
