There are lots of ways to make that kind of money work for you and equally lots of ways to squander it - see Lee Hendrie. Anyway, this probably isn’t the place for financial advice but you raise some valid points.

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but Danny Ward isn’t going to be incredibly wealthy. He’s probably averaged 20k a week for 10 years. After tax it’s about £5m. He’s obviously spent some of that to live and enjoy the standard of life that that kind of money affords. When he retires, if he’s got £3-5m in the bank it’d be quite easy to chip away at that over the next 30 years. It’s certainly an amount of money you’d have to have a plan for. Anyway, I don’t blame him for seeing out his contract and not wanting to play football. More fool those above him that put the contract in front of him.

If it’s on TCAS then I think that means it would’ve had a transponder as TCAS isn’t radar per se. I could be wrong but I think the TCAS system requires both aircraft to have their transponders active.
