A lot of people used to claim he was being left out of squads because he played for Leicester hopefully this will ease their paranoia in future.

I do feel deflated. I was a big fan of Enzo. But plenty of positives in all this. 1. Lots of question marks about Enzo's style of football in a league where we no longer had the best, most technically gifted players. He proved to rigidly stick to it in its entirety come what may so was we could of dodged a bullet there (we will never know of course). 2. The club gets 10 million plus for Enzo and his staff. In the current situation that is most welcome and could be the difference between selling or keeping KDH. Also if we started the season badly and we had to sack him (like a lot on here wanted a month ago) then it would have cost us 10 million plus to do it so in that hypothetical situation it's a net gain of 20 million. 3. If he was remotely successful He was going anyway he's an incredibly trendy pep prodigy that was always going to be in demand by the big boys. better now where the new man gets a pre season and a chance to sign his own players than in September when Man United sack Ten Haag. 4. Counter attacking football. We are perfectly placed to implement this with a rapid front 3 and KDH going box to box. In fact we looked at our devestating best last season when we had less of the ball. Enzo hated this and even after we scored great goals in this manner repeatedly expressed this is not how he wants to play. Hopefully the new manager will look at the situation and the players at his disposal and will be a bit more open to playing different ways.

Not sure how you can blame the club for this? We hired the right manager last summer so much so that a richer more powerful club want him and are prepared to pay us 8 figures to have him. If we hired the wrong manager last summer we stay in the championship and no one wants our manager.

This was just over a month ago.... When we were still in the automatic places, Yet the same fan base expects ironcast loyalty back it's hilarious!
-
Surely this applies to every manager?
-
I don't remember that. Any quotes to back this up or should we just take your word for it?
-
Anyone remember what the Enzo in/out poll was after the Plymouth game? I swear it was 80 percent plus that wanted him out. I was at the Bristol away game and the away support had turned on him bad. Why should managers show any loyalty when fans will turn on them at the first whiff of bad results and Owners will sack them In a heartbeat? Why should they be the only ones in the equation expected to show some loyalty?

Ex Players - They used to play for us

Should have played him on his natural left hand side more. Didn't we have a deal in place for 12 million? I highly doubt we get relegated with him but **** it coulda woulda shoulda -
Claudio Ranieri retires from football management
The whole world smiles replied to stu's topic in Leicester City Forum
He seemed to struggle after leaving Leicester but great to see him bow out on a massive high keeping Cagliari up after getting them promoted last season. Cagliari was his first sucess in management over 30 years ago so it's great that a story book career gets a story book ending. However I would not be surprised to see him pop up and take another Job in Italy somehow true football men like Claudio always really struggle to stay retired even as 80 approaches. -
People are acting like Burnley are the only team in premier League history to come up from the championship and play possession based football!
-
His admission is neither hear nor there he was caught on camera strangling her. With regards to anger management In your heart of hearts do you think that's his idea or has he been advised someone pr savvy that if he wants a career in the media after he retires (which he has got) then it's probably a good idea? Look I don't want to dig out Danny Simpson I was and am a big fan. I just find the double standard on here quite amusing.
-
Admitting wrongdoing? He was on the police officers body cam strangling her when she was on the floor, what was he going to say? I slipped and landed on her!
-
Makes me laugh how Danny Simpson is a hero to the fans and loved but any notion of Mason Greenwood sends fans into a angry frenzy.

Good post. part of me agrees with you the other part of me thinks what do you expect? This is the same bloke who racial abused someone at a casino, who ended up on tag for violence who has on more than one occasion threw a career threatening two footed tackle at opponents. He has never asked to be a role model. I don't like the word but part of his appeal is that he is a chav, he is your working class white van man playing the game as the supporters think it should be played winding opposition players and fans up along the way.
-
Yeah agreed he was being mischivious. There is a lot of confirmation bias going on.not sure how people can listen to that and read that Vardy hates rudkin etc.
-
I'd deffo let you choose wouldn't want the price of a carling or the barman looking like john rudkin to set you off in my local!
-
I did say one of!

I really don't mean any offense as in some of your posts you seems dead sound and I'm sure if went out for a beer we would both enjoy it. But fuch me you are one of the most miserable, moaning bastards on this whole forum and that is saying something.

People saying he's been a disappointment. Do not underestimate how hard its been for kel or any other striker we signed to compete with Jamie Vardy for playing time in the last 8 years.

I've always been a fan of the group because the alternative is nothing - no one else is actively trying to improve the atmosphere but From the outside looking in it doesn't seem like union fs have always had a brilliant relationship with the rest of the fan base I have noticed piss taking and sometimes outwards hostility towards you both home and away and online through the years but this year seems like a massive break through and it seems like you have the backing and support of big majority of the fans now which can only help you continue to achieve your aims. It also seems like Enzo is a Big fan too so you have never been more powerful.

When we won the fa cup he scored the winner in the 5th round v Brighton, 2 goals in the quarter final v man united and the winner in the semi v Southampton. Even if he contributed nothing else he deserves a bit more credit on here.

I knew this day would come but am going to feel more than a bit emotional on Saturday. I absolutely love the bloke for so many reasons and it's been a pleasure watching him wear the blue shirt. I remember years ago in the warm up all the players took of their training tops and threw them at the coach/kit man and ran off ready to start the game loads dropped on the floor and only Marc stopped and helped him pick them up. Spoke volumes about the type of bloke he is. He was also a wonderful footballer a brilliant mix of skill and grit with a wand of a right foot. He wasn't blessed with an abundance of natural talent but got to and stayed at the top of the game for a very long time through his workrate and attitude. He leaves Leicester with an fa cup, premier League and charity shield winners medal and many millions in the bank and he thoroughly deserves all of it. With the exception of Vardy no one player has featured more heavily in the clubs greatest ever era he played every game when we won the premier League and every game when we won the fa cup. Not bad for someone deemed not up to standard at Aston fuching villa!

What did you expect her to look like? He's a very good looking (no homo) successful, rich, Italian man. -

The whole world smiles replied to Union FS's topic in Leicester City Forum
What I love about this is that it's probably in union fs's interest to have a good working relationship with these people at the club but that hasn't stopped them or made them water down some absolute truth bombs. Bravo -
Jamie Vardy Appreciation
The whole world smiles replied to GeorgeTheFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm pretty confident he will do another year. With the club so far from ffp compliance I really don't think we can afford to try and replace him right now. Daka isn't up to it, ineacho will be off and the manager doesn't like cannon so another year will suit everyone. Unless someone knows something I don't?
