  1. explains the whole after party antics, and opinions.Top post
  2. Man utd fans prove once again, its always somebodys else fault. A top team at 3-2 would have closed it out. Difference over the years Man.utd even in the last 4 seasons under Ferguson, shown the difference between, Themselves and Bayern, Real Madrid etc.Utd left Moyes without any quality at the CB positions, a n d a worn out midfield. They spent too many millions , without chasing 1-2 CBs.Funny even in the Fergie yearsthere was always 1 dept., but never defence.
  3. To be fair Manu, Liverpool fans tend to show more appreciation and respect to the opposition fans, social media just confirms it.We still have in our midst some fans who show little respect to opposite teams and fans, we still have far to go before, we start to earn our halos.Simon templar is not yet a city fan.
  4. The whole country IS like Stoke, thats why I wanted out.....now crucify me. Other than Filbert st/KP stadium, Welford road-Tigers, Grace road, Beaumont leys park, and New Parks, not forgetting South Leic'RFC, Syston RFC all obviously on hallowed ground.
  5. Not one of them can play darts or snooker after 5-6 pints, but just go to any social club and you will find real men, double topping, and snookering all comers after 10 pints, then go on the next day and play sunday league football, or Rugby for Syston, forgetting they have dart feathers in one pocket and a 'how did this get there' red ball in the other. Just having time to have a round of golf before late tea with the family.
  6. So your a good footballer, with buckets full of prowess. Another thing with the football fans they over exaggerate their sports necessary skills. oh and rugby fans over exaggerate their knowledge of human nature. Top players from both sports tend to appreciate their counterparts discipline and skills needed. Just proves sports fans are arrogant, unknowledgeable self opinionated brats that never grow up, and cant say a good word about anybody.Thats why they are fans and not players, failing at reaching their dreams, then love to play critic. Yawn..
  7. Good on ya..I used to also love going to the Leicester lions..Ray Wilson, with manager papa WilsonJohn Boulger, G.Major, Storer,Anders Michanek, Graham Plant, Dewayne Keeter,Tom Leadbitter( motorcross champion in his own right), John Hart,Cowland, Malcolm Brown. They road in those days at a stadium tipped by many to be shared with Leicester City, new complex,...Parker Drive - Somerset Avenue, opposite one of the 3 Bentley Engineering factories, the famous one obviously Near filbert street, home of my apprenticeship.
  8. Thats why we have a unique sports statue in the city center ( or has it been removed ?? )I support all our sports, Cricket has been suffering of late. I played both football and Rugby, played Rugby at an high level. In my experience, I found many Rugby players and supporters followed the foxes, there was always that friendly banter between the 2 factions, and now with social media negative remarks can be taken out of concept or taken too serious. Footballerswill always be deemed as prims donnas and mouthy, Rugby players as neanderthal snobs, cricketers prance around, calling the other 2 yobs and pub wreckers....... For the fans that only follow 1 sport, this will always stay true, the others will keep the banter theme based. To all ,whatever your take, just enjoy the sport you do, but respect others who follow and take up other disciplines, because just like life, we all have different strengths and skills, and need understanding in our weaknesses...but please keep up the banter, cos its still very funny to see new and ancient, amusing , stupid, over the top remarks.
  9. Played in probably the best ever city team ,1961 cup final belonged to the ice-kings.belonged to my first personally signed signatures, of a city team. Sometimes forgotten in role call of citys ever best forwards, but belongs up there. I bumped into him accidently, when he was going to the training ground (I was 7) , he pretended to be angry then he grinned, and spoke to me and dad for 5 minutes, what stood out for me was his scottish accent.I met him again at a charity match a few years later, he remembered me. That day was a great day for me, because other players exchanged more than a few words with an awstruck youngster, just sitting on the grass, with my dad, uncle and 2 cousins. It was off the cuff, that made it special.
  10. Now lets be fair to our midland neighbours, our closest rivals... In our position we should be showing a bit of neighbourly love..So like the Slade song LOCK UP YOUR DAUGHTERS.....
  11. New Parks...the center of the earth, we enrich and educate , the last civilized bastion of sanity, the true way to paradise.
  12. Lets turn foxy into battlecat and Pearson in He- man....and shout out loud... "By the power of grayskull and King power stadium" add a few choice words, its bound To catch on
