  1. Under Ranieri, I tip both RDL and Schlupp to improve, and become usefull players.
  2. We could go through the whole season, with only allowing Arsenal to get the double over us. That would be a great record... Arsenals success cwill be saying they got at least the double over the champions..... Now then, now then!!!!!
  3. My 8 yr old nephew is sending his gang around to you.... He says hes never been so insulted..
  4. Just read what you posted, 1st get your facts completely right. The Klitsckos family were indeed in the Russian army, and also in the NKWD their 1st language indeed russian...but thats it Both sides of the family, including grandparents are Ukrainian with connections to katchastan I believe. So they are not Russians
  5. In the 60s my dad took me and mam, on a 2 day bus mystery tour.We did Derbyshire and went int Yorkshire, we had on the 1st evening free time, he heard from the bus driver that there was a nice , but an up market country restaurant on the edge of the town, it was a beautiful evening so we decide to walk. For us at the time, it was a posh restaurant. Now considering that all offal was considered a poormans choice, we were suprised to see a ' special farmers and all plate' This consisted of tripe, pigs-trotters, brains, kidneys and sheeps heart and testicles with mashed potatoes. for 2 people, or a choice of 3 for 1 person. Now heres the craic, my dad turned to my mam and said,'I take you to a posh restaurant, and am offered what we bloody eat on many saturdays on family -meets'.And costs 3 times as much. WE did laugh... My uncles, aunties, and grandparents would of loved it. Though my dad was tempted, he loved pigs trotters, my mam and dad were more tempted by a dish called "WET HALF N HALFs, with horseraddish, etc This was half a salmon, with half trout and carp. My very first time, one could say a snobs fish dish.At the time expensive, and for us a rarity. That changed over the 70s. But back to offal dishes, towards the end of the 70s,offal became a delicitessence and not easy to find, where before they gave it away(cheap), like dripping or animal fat, you didnt have to pay for it ,the Butcher use to throw the fat/dripping onto the roast for nothing.
  6. Great dogs...Need more walks in the day, intelligent and clever dogs.Learn quickly especially when well treated, but still need a fair maybe hard hand in the first 6-8 months.Ask the farmer if he knows the breed, and for tips.My parents many years ago, got our collie from a farm, they knew their stuff. Even when well trained, they have a natural talent to go rounding up cattle and sheep, so when walking across fields with farm animals keep on leash.Great family dog, kids no problem, but like all pets never leave them alone with young babes or young children. For collies generally not known for aggressive attacks, only when defending, owners, or property. Mine liked the milkmann and postman, but just didnt get on with the breadman, the nicest animal loving guy you could meet, seems he didnt like his jolly whistling, even 5-8 years on. My dog didnt have an issue with the dustbin men, but attacked the bloody dustbin everytime they put it back in the yard. Another thing he knew the difference, between my father and I played fighting, but if my father got really angry with me and came too near, he came between us protecting me straight the way.... No my dad was no kid beater, but we did argue heavily. My dad used to laugh and call him a traitor, he said I feed and buy you icecream you take you for nice walks, then you..... attack me. Another anecdote...The dog (duskey) was sleeping and dreaming, and we were watching an old western with children of a farm shooing chaotically the animals to their barn, Duskey woke up and attacked our tv, knocking it over, looking for the animals for 10 minutes, looking at us quizically.
  7. Must say in fairness, Todays Sunday Supplement was ok today.Martin Samuals is one of the top sports journalist IMO. No I dont always agree with him, but he doesnt hide behind the old lines or rhetoric. Today the 3 journalists admitted they are like many are eating humble pie. There were no snidey remarks and to a man they did say, they would like nothing more than see Ranieri and his team to carry on suprising, and hold the run to the end of the season.... There was a time when sports jounalist were the only info, we had on any Sports overseas and even up and down the country. Those days are well gone, their opinions are well matched by fans, who travel more and the simple fact of fullgame television, then the information exchange conveyer-belt of social media. The journalists today dont need anymore to use the language and vocabulary or go into detail for their readers or listeners like before, they have become just as daft, as good, as simple, as bias, as the readers they serve. I just think Samuals is one of the good ones, who gives more thought. God I hate the D.Mail but like reading his columns
  8. Actually I believe, this is one of our major strengths and advantage that we have , this team doesn't do over confidence, they wont get ahead of themselves.I think they have learnt as a squad from last seasons end run, why show or fear anything in the PL , they found a belief that they have earnt the right to play in the PL. MAYBE the fans will do the whooping and shouting and go over the top with expectatations, but I cant see this group of players, start to get starryeyed or conceited. They have learnt some hard lessons. They can and should be arrogant in their play, in their 1-2s, their dribbling, and know they can turn games. They are Profis chasing their dreams, however the ethic in this squad , has shown in many interviews, that the players have their feet solidly on the ground. Whats also been interesting giving a great feeling, other teams fans and forums have shown respect and appreciation, to our style and approach in how we play. Boring boring Leicester is no longer a chant from the opposition terraces. I just hope City , Palace, and the hammers, can keep their entertaining styles, on track through the season. Add Southampton, Swansea and Watford to the mix, we could be heading for one of the best seasons ever in the PL. Neither do I see a change in the top order , or that they struggle for max pts, a weakening of the PL, it could be the different styles being on offer, gives the top guns a fairer test, and the fans far more interesting games, and contests.
  9. FFS too damn right I am bias. Well researched pfiffle!!! , just obvious by looking at the fixture list is "well researched" The noggin, didnt even mention W.Ham. Spot on, load of waffle..!! Of course one can have all the negatives, its in the back of my head, we could well fall off the pace. BUT supporting your team to me is believing the impossible, and the what ifs, and just maybes. So my 1st thoughts are not negative, its not my job as a fan to reason in any shape or form.. You see I am really different to you wuzzies, you non believers you infidels of soccer dreams. Every game I believe in the 3 points, at least 1pt, you see I dare believe. THIS so called hard period, I spit in the wind at what difficulties await us. This is what its all about, showing you just might have the right tactics, you are stronger than what the Status Quo will have you believe. Fear if we fail, why should we not be the smack in the eye..!! Why should we cower before these unknown quests, and doubt our own prowess. You see I am a fox supporter, I dare believe, its my right to believe , we are coming out of December laughing our heads off. This Sunday we could be top, those 2 unknowns above us have 2 hard games. Manu, Swansea, Chelsea our next opponents are not actually having it their way. Ranieri and his guys have not been seen lately in the Garden center, so the spades for digging us out of an hole is not yet in their mind set... Research, then put all facts on the table, and dont dribble on about how it looks from last seasons stats. Until/if fall in the hole, its my right as a fan to dream, then after every 2-3 game reasses my dreams
  10. It might be easier to have a thread, to ask which UK city or town is not a dump...
  11. Sorry but can I just, jump in the air do a crazy dance and shout out and do a wey hey yeh !!!!!!! Yardy is geting a well earnt rest..doo doo da day...
  12. Agree totally. If anyone on this forum, was chosen to help in a project, or sitting down for your yearly assesment, you would say, ' Hold on boss, look at my strengths, and where I have improved in the necessary and relevant areas, that give you the reason to select me, or where you yourself acknowledged my work and effort' IF my boss complained then, that its not my job to pudh myself forward, wouldnt we say, thanks but no thanks I'm off. Or ok I am off to play for Ireland..!!
  13. Vardy ...how strange how pundits, so called football journalist, cant see or dont mention his greatest skills, in which he has showed in many of his goals. # Taking a ball at pace # Running at speed and controlling the ball at his feet, over long distances, having no doubt what he will do with it. # His twist and turning, with immediate pace, many fall flat on their faces, but Vardy carries on with point 1. # At pace taking on the shot, and when necessary taking a side step, to clear bearing down defender. # He reaches most of the through balls, even when they have been too strong. # his side flick tekky on Saturday, is not a one off. W.Wide I have hardly seen elsewhere this skill from his pace so consistently. Let others make him out to be other peoples fools and jester, this guy ..Jamie Vardy... is damn skillfull. And no arrogant self-centered, self important upstart, but neither was our Gary.Feet on the ground type of guy, who can burn leather . I hear luney-toons want to sign him up, to take over the 'Roadrunner' roll..beep, beep!!
  14. total crap, on games. Its your opinion..only
  15. These pre match interviews, reveal nothing as far as opinions go.Journalist rightly ask thoughts of oppisition manager, so short opinions are given, or rided around. Ranieri, keeps it close, since his 1st PL days, never heard him, being detrimental to opposing team or manager. Concentrates more on his team, and his working with that team. NP in this, was quite simular, NP just hated journalists stupid comments, Claudio just laughs.
  16. But Vardy is an Alien, he as come to show us mere mortals, the true art of Goalscoring, from all angles!!!!!!!
  17. You wuz. We ,....if you hadnt noticed are playing in the PL, we are now in only our 2nd season after 10yrs struggling to get back to it. I believe it was Rodney Marsh, (not the originator) who consistently on Sky said, ' Be careful what you wish for ' For one if we can keep the PL status, playing GOOD football thats the season target achieved. If a a cup run or even win is achieved thats a bonus.Attempting , trying for a higher league position must be the continual seasonal target. It seems even now, the expectations are being set rather high.Or fans love stirring the preverbial sh*t '

  19. My car doesnt have ears ..innit
  20. Sort of ten commandents road users list...innit.
  21. Bit like Kevin Keegan really, ran his socks off, knew how to put a round piece of leather into a net held up by a frame. Clever in finding empty spaces. Not the most skillfull of forwards, but people loved him.
  22. Watched it live from "krankenhaus", bloody marvellous, nearly ripped opened my wounds again. Even though BVB fan, and I just hate Bayern, still have a softspot for the guy like many other BVB fans.
  23. Best post for six bloody months....Too many young uns acting like old grannies on here, beating the same ol carpet. look!! just to kill this off, Whether Sunderland have won something or not since, john Wayne road on Stagecoach, or Clint Eastwoods boss was, Gil favor. Both Newcastle and Sunderland, could fill a stadium of 70+thousand at the old Roker stdm. That makes them ffs a bigger club, on crowd draw alone, we have won peep all. We like ipswich and palace are small, but just far more handsome, leave it at that, itscfkg boring now.
  24. Nothing related...but did you escape the floods, or were they further away..???
