I keep telling my German friends, ... many UK cities and towns are dumps compared to those in Germany, for two simple reasons, Our footballers cant hit a ball between 2 posts from 12yards, but put us in a plane and from 12, oooft, our bombaimers are bloody spot on.!!!!! and winners can give money to rebuild. Any derelict houses, in Uk , we kept for workexperience, so all the landlords could learn how to coax ridiculous revenues from their tenants, and while our farms were top at BSE, we can now use the greenbelt and floodplains to build rabbit hutches, for the rif-raf, and students. Making /turning once good family houses, into 2-3flats and then charging the same per flat, as what the whole house used to cost, then after all that, We keep Buckingham palace to house our German refugees. Then to really rub it in we release, mail to the press every 30 years, how one of these wanna be's from the 'Buckingham-camp' crazily tells us, how we can and should improve things, in companies and give the workers, a civilised living space. Why if it wasnt so funny we could, make it into a game called ' Kingdoms ,Empires and thrones'.

I come from that period....#prefer this forum # dont forget this forum produces, all contradictory views. # Whether its an oldie or young lad, I enjoy the differencess across the whole spectrum. # I dont like spitefull negative bad mouthing of any of the players or manager, especially in the 1st 3 months. # Some posters have taken things too personal.Witty banter ok, but no need to lose it, when pov is questioned. # If one lays down heavy negative povs, dont forget, its a supporters forum, so dont be suprised when one gets turned upon. # But whatever side of the line you post on, keep those witty sarcastic, funny posts coming, there has been some real greats. # probably too much to expect, but dont dis or put down rival sites or clubs, even when its sometimes hard give even the tosspots respect....it gives them then nowhere to go, stops them dead in their own tracks. # opinions on players who next season slip on the blueshirt ..1st give them a chance. Not one player wasnt dished out OTT Criticism over long periods, King, Hammond at the beginning proved people wrong, Schlupp, Vardy, Nugent served their time, left many fans with egg on their faces.Single out great or crap periods of performances, by all means, have your opinions ffs, but dont keep twisting it and grinding into the ground. ## EOS now, so it is a free for all , respect across the board all posters views,on opinions who should go, who should stay, who can we afford to chase, expectation of NP and staff in transfer markets, expectations towards owners. Above is just my opinion/view, its not written in stone, people can change my view, People can prove me wrong, or now and again agree. Lets, clash, disagree, argue,..agree, love, hate, share, poo.poo, banter, be witty, moranic, silly, dis, dosh with each other, all over again....whatever please dont stop loving me, I am a good boy, I really am. I do believe without bias this is one of the better forums, lets be over respectfull to others.

Exactly THIS. Unlike some, I like all 3 managers, but Bruce like you mentioned, does tend to hang too much on the negative. One reason maybe why Hull has struggled this season.

So it is true what they say...you really are a right miserable barsteward, who cant help yourself.Want people to even organise your change...Suggestion use a credit card.

Encourage small businesses to move into the center, backed by some supermarkets and bigger name named departmentstores. Drop rentals prices for all stores.Dont charge ridiculous prices for parking. In fact no cars or busses in city center. Encourage some stores/shops from the ethnic suburbs, including little India to move their businesses into city or create filliales. Create the market to simply copy the Camden market, use our city for what it is, a great meltingpot of all nations. Have small train like wheeled electric trams, to run from Victoria park to the beginning of Melton road and then another crossing this way from Woodgate or frog Island to 1 mile beyond Humberstone gate.To travel straight through the city, sort of hop on, hop off. Then another circulating the outside of the center.Build cycle paths into the city, with bike-parking. I dont know if any still exsist, but at least 2 theaters, with children and school theater and a decent nightclub, with live famous acts.Leicester use to be the starting place for many, Westend plays and musicals. 2-3 Small play and educating centers for all kids. Funds: from private business sponsorship and obviously, city and county rates. Lets become a competive, relaxing , enjoyable, exciting city center that others want to experience , to vist and copy. lets stop sitting on the fence, and give the councillers and authorities a task and challenge. No cars or traffic in the city will save millions on road or ways repairs. I know, I know, too naive too simple, but past costing plans have also failed, time to be imaginative, creat to make money, more people encouraged to come and spend time in the center, brings in more funds. Sell our history, use our green parks to help visitors, to teach/show Leicester and shire aint boring.

I am pathetic...I feel like one of the figures, because everybody plays games with me, then get locked up in a box, until I am needed again, sometimes it can take years.....

Sorry for delay , only just picked up on your post. Have you seen or been on website. www.seat61.com perpetrated from 'The man in seat61' With his suggestions and cross reading, great tours for cheap way to get around, or even some luxury trips, with interactive maps. Where to save money and giving tips on the competing companies. Though I have travelled using budget travel in many countries, doing my own organisation,I will be honest , seat61 I have not used it myself yet ( early retirement, but walking disabilties) My brother in law though used it for Russia ' grand siberian express with stopovers into china .Then another time around the countries vietnam and Thailand.

End of May to Italy, lago Maggiore. Sept. Sardinia. If it fits in after unabombers idea, Belgian beer festival. So 2015 mixing wine with beer. No further visits to KP stadium and Leicester 2015, maybe not even 2016.
-
start slowly, and beware some great beers creep upon you.Tiger, or any trappist (monastery) beers very strong. Prefer this to octoberfest. A few good stalls , best chips in the world, with great choice of sauces, also many other tasties you can swill down.Belgian beers belong to the strongest, no warning...A few years ago invited 4 friends,1 was too macho within 1/2 hr 4 drinks he didnt listen, not long after, he was too far gone, ruined his own evening and night.Still on his legs but couldnt drink for awhile during the night, only coke. Gives me an idea, I havent been for a few years, could go with my to be Son in law, and son.

I have done most, work and pleasure, so in our doting age, we will keep to europe. Sardinia takes our fancy, or tour west coast of Italy, with pompei and serrento coast. Egypt nile cruise with coast hotel 16 days 650 euros pp.In Autumn. Dont need to take or organise holidays, I took early retirement.

Would love to see city competely cut off from traffic...ie from Humberstone gate-Granby st, Highcross st. Bus station, Belgravegate. No busses, only delivery vans, on certain days for various shops. maybe re-invest, with top marketting, the whole of the covered Leicester market, including market stall type of eaterys selling local dairy, vegetable produce, with fish market and delli's.Bakers, and English top cheeses. Dont know it it would go, but set up the Cornmarket has a hotel and restaurant, with faire to suit all.

I'll ditto this. Still prefer German cities, and French towns but Leicester and the whole shire is slowly turning it around.15 years ago it was a dump with poor councils.Though it still needs along way to go.Road and pavements with 10year renovations because of shoddy workmanship Sheffield was doing well, but havent been for a few years. London, the city is a dump, but many suburbs are looking up and being redeveloped.

Just a couple of honest questions, no sly thoughts behind them... # What of the colleges and the once called polytechnics, are they still viable, and have good results.? # Do Leicester and midland firms still encourage Apprenticeships.? #How is the education in the working Estates,in the past many technicians and skilled labour came from these Estates feeding the job market needs.? Over the years, when returning to Leicester, relation visits or to watch Foxes or the Tigers, I've never kept track in the last few years, of 'on the street' daily goings on and fortunes. Just like to hear fox-posters thoughts and opinions.

I know where you are coming from, but also I would advise many not to chase and follow the position jumps, but the points collection, even if its slow slow, we need the, grinding out of results, hoping for the odd suprise (like Manu). The position will then take care of itself. At present 1pt or 3pts allows a team to jump upto 4-6 positions.Later it will become harder to spring over 3-4 teams. Not forgetting goal difference.
-
I disagree, I cant see any teams we have played sofar setting themselves up with special tactics to play just against Leicester. Not forgetting, we havent played the same team, since Man.utd.Vardy and Mahrez also hasnt featured in everygame. Therefore it would be a bit dumb, of also rans to change their tactics to compete against another also ran.

Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship
fuchsntf replied to AndWhat?'s topic in Leicester City Forum
As a Dortmund fan, any alliance thoughts with Bochum should be thrown straight into the soar or even the Ruhr.with their scarves and banners still connected to their fans. Well some of them, at the moment they are drowning deep down in the depths anyway, poor Bochum. -
Many cities UK and Euro wide, have had remodelling, rebuilding projects. Its been the repetative and continuous re-levelling of the same sites time and time again. Then the disorganised routine of re-ripping up of 'ways' roads that have previously been newly laid, by city services organisations.Councils should organise the bloody holes more effeciently, when something opens up, then all relevant services should be pulled and designated together.Logistics should be used to control and organise our simple world of hole making. Oh I am an retired engineer,so technical awareness and possible showstoppers within any project is not strange to me. Not saying Leicester is alone, but even some of the citys great ideas or plans have been ruined by lackadaisical control and building skills, from top to bottom. Its more frustrating because its not been a funding issue but simple implementation, once granted. Maybe its just Leicester citizens are fed up feeling like the poor neighbours of the midlands.

There, now you have it. Well posted, can we now ignore the man. That would be the best payback ..,2014/15 not another Dyche related post from now on. Burnley yes, Dyche posts disapear

Then why has shoddy work, and repetative up rooting of the same newly laid pedestrian walkways been a constant bind for city shoppers, not for a couple of months, but over years.BSI Standards have have taken a pounding in the ground work in the city, and around shop fronts. From Humberstonegate Highcross, through to Market street/Pocklington st. Area. The need and given plans may of been ok, but the old delays and work implementation was/has been demeaning to the city.
-
50 years of cheap council get outs.Poor quality road pavement engineering, hiring semi skilled workers to do the skilled work10 years of laying then ripping up what was sold as quality work by work councils.A few Nottingham engineers being involved, then jealous conspiracy theories.Besides swearing its unfortunate that incompetence is thecstrongest word possible, maybe through the last 15 years, criminal incompetence and negligence could be added, to all involved, through whole projects. If the work happenned in any other country, many would be laughing and throwing out filthy wild opinions. The city has improved, but invastructures and engineering works have been nothing short of rubbish and below any low standard that should be expected in any British standard control works. Not forgetting 50 years of wasted money. Its time councils were hold person for person resonsible for works carried out under their or their departments name
-
I reckon we should really rub it in... .Make Clattenburg a life long honourary Foxes fan and honourary doctor at our great university.
-
The sour grapes from Manu fans, will make it a vintage season, for the effervescent Leicester city followers foxes run amoc in the coup leaving nothing behind but headless chickens. Their gall goes too far even for V.Gaal.

explains the whole after party antics, and opinions.Top post

Man utd fans prove once again, its always somebodys else fault. A top team at 3-2 would have closed it out. Difference over the years Man.utd even in the last 4 seasons under Ferguson, shown the difference between, Themselves and Bayern, Real Madrid etc.Utd left Moyes without any quality at the CB positions, a n d a worn out midfield. They spent too many millions , without chasing 1-2 CBs.Funny even in the Fergie yearsthere was always 1 dept., but never defence.
