  1. Saying that they only gave it to him because of the war is almost as bad as Joshua's melt down jesus christ man. My missus, who knows nothing about boxing, just said that's the most undignified answer she's ever heard
  2. Because these guys lives is more important than a sport. I agree if this was twenty years ago the ref wouldn't have stepped in and Fury would probably have been knocked out in the ninth round. But at what cost to his wellbeing long term? We know a lot more about head injuries and concussion syndrome now than we did then.
  3. It's very very rare you see a guy back pedal for 12 rounds and get given a win. Especially when they're almost knocked out. Wouldn't surprise me if this is a draw at all if there's no fireworks in the last round.
  4. I mean this is the guy that got up vs Wilder like the ****ing Undertaker at a wrestlemania main event. If you want to knock Fury out you've got to really knock him out.
  5. I'm all for the welfare of athletes but christ the ref just saved Fury then
  6. It's nowhere near as dominant for Fury as the commentators make out. Fury has had the more impactful, impressive looking punches overall yeah. But it's about landing scoring punches and Usyk has consistently got more on target.
  7. Probably 3 - 3 in terms of rounds but that was a big round in terms of points difference. Fury ahead atm.
  8. Probably 3 - 2 Usyk now.
  9. This was the only round I'd have given to Fury and even then not by much.
  10. Judges like front footedness and pressure. You saw it in the last bout on the under card. I assume Fury's plan isn't to stand in the corner for twelve rounds, it's probably part of a strategy. But if he does he won't get the decision.
  11. Yes he's there somewhere.
  12. **** me it'll be midnight before anyone throws a glove.
  13. The troll in me would enjoy that. But please no Personally I'm hoping for a thrilling bout and a late knockout for someone so we don't have to put up with the obviously dodgy judges or the predictable forced draw.
  14. Do we think they were both told they had to come to the ring in green and gold?
  15. Honestly not a clue. Neither winning would surprise me.
  16. The arena isn't bouncing is it Fletch. The speakers have just been turned up to a million to hide the fact the crowd are silent.
  17. Well obviously. One thing you have to give Tyson Fury is that there isn't really anyone like him. Edit: it goes both ways though. This is complete new ground for Fury.
  18. Literally nobody on the planet wants this performance do they.
  19. Fit by Fury's standards is going to be very different to Usyk fit though. Usyk's career has been largely defined by his fitness and his athleticism. He's going to be well prepared for Fury trying to lean all over him. I'll be absolutely amazed if he's profoundly tired by the end of the bout and even more amazed if he's more tired than Fury.
  20. I mean everyone said that about Anthony Joshua and Usyk absolutely knackered him. I think you're under estimating how ridiculously hard work it is keeping up with Usyk's relentless movement for twelve rounds. Especially when you are Fury's size and fitness.
  21. Because he's absurdly quick, absurdly fit and absurdly accurate. For all of his freakish size, Fury generally wins by out-boxing his opponents not by over powering them. There's a significant possibility that Fury's plan is to try and out-box Usyk and if that's the case then the smaller guy has a seriously good chance. Not for one second suggesting he's definitely going to win but the pathway to him winning it is obviously there.
  22. Quality contest that tbf.
  23. Breidis made out of 90% tungsten.
  24. Yeah the write ups after probably will as well.
