The only articles I can see at the moment claiming they'd cash in for what they paid are sourced by Alan Nixon who is about as in the know as Col City Fan.

I wouldn't be thrilled if we replaced Enzo with Potter and I don't think €10m is as exciting as everyone else does either. That probably gets us one player.
-
Gus Hamer presumably has about 4 years left on his contract with a club that will be desperate to keep him and cost 15m a year ago. Unless he managed to get a release clause in his contract for relegation, he'd cost a lot more than we could probably structure for McAtee.
-
So yeah /checksnotes. Carlos Vicens?

I dunno. Abramovich would never do it but I feel like Todd Boehly fancies himself as a bit of a connoisseur on youth. They went out and spent a ridiculous amount of money on young players that are supposed to be young and upcoming, I think it would be quite on brand for them to go out and hire a young manager that's tipped to be the next Pep Guardiola.
-
That's an uncanny shout. Would be extremely Claude Puel.
-
Given that rejoicing in ones own stupidity is very on brand for 2024, I wouldn't say it astonishes me.
-
A buy back clause on McAtee doesn't put me off in the slightest. He'll probably never be good enough for them. The words "hefty sell on clause" put me off the most. We're a club that exists to make money up selling. We're in a financial mess because we let a hack manager convince us to stop that. Don't want to invest in a young player only to lose the ability to profit off selling him on.
-
The delight some people have that we might lose a young manager that won us the league with 97 points in his first full year in senior management genuinely boils my piss.
-
Yeah I'm being a bit facetious, I don't think we'll literally recruit Moyes, but I do think we lack imagination and always have with managerial recruitment. Enzo is the most inventive we've ever gotten and he was coaching at a fellow Premier League club and was highly tipped to go in to management, it's not like we plucked him out of obscurity.
-
$$$$$ Firstly, let's be clear, this is almost certainly agent talk. But if Tottenham, Newcastle etc do pick him up for free when his contract expires then it'll be loan him out to a Championship club for a season and then sell him for 100% profit.

And there it is. I made peace very early on with the idea of Enzo using us as a stepping stone. Think it was very clear straight away he's going to have a much bigger career than us. I just don't see us doing a Palace, Villa or Brighton and pulling off a Glasner, Emery or De Zerbi. We'll go and ****ing recruit Moyes and the worst part is that half of our support will be happy that the "tippy tappy shit" has stopped.

Erm. No.

I'm usually one of the first to advocate for young managers and new ideas. But Chelsea need someone with a lot of character and a lot of experience to get a grip of the mess the board are making there. Hard to see anything other than a train wreck of they're taking a punt on someone with one or two seasons of professional management on their CV. Doesn't have to be an elite, former Champions League winning manager but it does need to be someone seriously confident and self assured.

Ten Hag didn't spend anything, neither did Arteta for that matter. They're Head Coaches, not directors or heads of recruitment. It's pretty obvious that whoever manages United, the playing staff are the biggest problem there, they've recruited absolute trash with more ego than talent for a decade. Ten Hag's Ajax were superb and he'll probably recover from this to have a good career but replacing him is pointless without gutting the squad and pretty much starting again.

Personally I'd say the opposite. Legend is just an over used term these days, we should only really consider the smallest handful of people true legends of the forum. I mean @An Away Move is far more just a cult hero really isn't he at most.

Like I said, the worst could be yet to come. Until everyone gets back from holiday and we see the earliest signs of transfer activity we really have no idea. We could get a statement from Enzo, Top or Kieran himself saying KDH isn't for sale followed by us making a "statement" signing for ~£15m. Then we're all going to take a big, deep breath and relax. Or our first bit of business could be selling KDH for well below his value followed by signing some donkey from the Russian league on a free transfer and we're all going to bend over and clutch our ankles with a sigh.
-
Depends how bad our financial situation is really. If the worst is behind us and the club is recovering, I'd really hope after a season back in the Prem then quite frankly Brighton would be a sideways move at best. Of course the worst could be yet to come in which case who really cares? We can all look forward to the Netflix docuseries when we're in League Two. At least Neil Warnock will make for good TV when he's out of retirement for the eighth season running to finally manage us after a thousand near misses.

Tbf if there were negative rep I'd probably be down a few hundred thousand for posts about Andy King alone.
-
If you've any sense. (I don't.)

It's reasonably common practice for hobbyist kit designers to put sponsors on kits they think are thematic or might just look good tbf. Someone's mocking up a Leicester kit, is aware the sponsor is unknown and has just put on one of the biggest Thai companies with a vaguely aesthetic logo.

That's where you're going wrong
