  1. Steven Gerrard looks like someone's holding his family hostage to make sure he attends.
  2. It's literally like watching covid sport. This should have been at Wembley. ****ing money.
  3. Ugh. These Saudi crowds are ****ing terrible.
  4. If the last decade has taught you anything about Tyson Fury it should be that 99.9% of what comes out of his mouth is complete and total trivial. His track record is about as reliable as Donald Trump.
  5. With no disrespect to either fighter, are they really billing this as a co main event?
  6. This is why you have a Trust or other Supporter Groups. You need to have groups that are for the fans, obviously. You wouldn't invite an employee of the club to come and chair the Trust meetings would you? I'm with you on that. But then you also need to have a body that's set up as a forum for both the club and the fans to come together to have productive discussion, surely that's what an FAB is? I know very little about football fan groups so I'm not trying to speak like an authority. But I see absolutely no issue with the club being on an FAB and if anything it sounds obvious they would be? Otherwise, what the **** even is that Everton group?
  7. Let's be honest it'd just be England and Keiffer Moore.
  8. lol, how is an advisory board meant to advise someone if that someone doesn't attend.
  9. Where exactly were Norwich expecting to be finish this season? Besides getting up staged by Ipswich he's not done much wrong. They're objectively worse than Leeds, Leicester and Southampton. What exactly are they expecting. They seem to be the only club that haven't gotten the message this season just straight up isn't fair for most of the Championship.
  10. FIIIIIIIIIIIVE ORMONDROOOOOOOOOOYDS
  11. At a glance, all meet the recommended specs for Manor Lords except the ASUS which is a little on the low side for memory. If you can (and it'll be a challenge at <700 quid) you might wanna try and hit 16 at least. I'm always extremely cautious of any gaming laptop that styles itself as "thin" or "lightweight" or whatever. You want to generally accept that a gaming laptop will never be super portable, thin or lightweight usually means absolutely abysmal cooling. Heat is the biggest enemy of the gaming laptop, you need airflow and you need fans and if you're trying to make your device as compact as possible then those things are difficult. The Medion has alright specs, maybe the best you're likely to get in your price point but I've legitimately never heard of them. Just had to google it, apparently it's a German branch of Lenovo? If you're willing to try refurbished you'll get a bit more bang for your Medion buck with: https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/refurbished-medion-erazer-nb-deputy-p40-core-i5-12450h-16gb-512gb-rtx-4060-a1-30035513/version.asp or https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/refurbished-medion-erazer-nb-deputy-p40-core-i5-12450h-16gb-512gb-rtx-4060-a2-30035513/version.asp or https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/grade-a2-medion-erazer-deputy-p60-intel-core-i5-16gb-1tb-rtx-4060-144hz-f-a2-30036526/version.asp or even https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/refurbished-asus-tuf-f15-core-i5-12500h-16gb-512gb-rtx-3050-15.6-inch-windo-a2-fx507zc4-hn119w/version.asp Basically if you can stretch your budget to anything with a 4060 over a 4050 then you'll probably notice the difference. If memory serves I think the 3060 even outperforms the 4050. Even the xx60s are at the bottom end of their generation but the 4050 has 6gb VRAM and the 4060 has 8gb which you'll probably start to notice the more recent games you want to play. But honestly I was using an RTX2060 up until recently and was playing most things fine, albeit with a more powerful processor than you'll be buying.
  12. It's also worth pointing out that his most significant season, this one, he was playing counter attacking, high pressing, direct football from which he benefited. I'm 99% we aren't seriously looking at Szmodics, it's just a silly article. He's not an obvious fit here in the slightest. If Norwich win in the play offs he'd do alright there but they'd have to really lower the asking price.
  13. I think that says more about how GoT ended than HotD tbf
  14. I thought most of the cast, who were largely excellent, did about as well as they could with pretty tired story. The plot itself was daft and the stupid dragon out of the basement moment at the climax was brain dead. The whole thing was a pretty standard edition to the HBO GoT decline, get rid of all the substance and just rely on the sex and spectacle. Oh look, he's shagging his niece, that's story isn't it.
  15. Lets be honest, they were both a bit shit. And the less said about their ugly, deformed sibling - The Wheel of Time - the better. They're all so bad they kept the Witcher looking good all through it's drastic attempts at self sabotage.
  16. Organisation is massively important when it comes to defending. Far, far more than an individual. Rodgers couldn't organise a defence if his life depended on it. I think it's quite significant that the further we got from Puel's reign, the worse the defence got every year. Any time we lost the ball under Rodgers we were instantly ****ed. Maresca's system has a huge emphasis on recovery. Nearly every time we give the ball away, there's multiple players around ready to recover the ball. There's shorter distances between the players and nearly always five players, in organised positions, ready to recover the ball. Absolutely worlds apart from last time we were in the Prem.
  17. Or, alternatively, perhaps a little difficult to compare given one was set up to be the main goal scorer for their team and the other played in a side designed to distribute attacking contributions across an entire front five. Of course they're apples and oranges but then it wasn't me that brought up Daka in the thread, especially given Szmodics is a midfielder. I'm just bored of the disrespect for Daka. Yes, he missed a couple of costly sitters this year, but he also ended up as the second most productive player in the league, weighted for minutes played, behind only the actual GOAT.
  18. Patson Daka, who is predictably taking pelters here, had a higher G+A/90 last season than Szmodics. In fact, he had higher than everyone in the league other than Vardy.
  19. Vestergaard is almost as integral to how we play as Winks. He needs some pace next to him but I don't have a problem with him getting a new contract, assuming it's for less money and it's not 5 ****ing years.
  20. Wow I have so much sympathy for Ederson.
  21. Genuinely can't believe people would pay 10-20m for a 29 year old with one good season. **** sakes, you're all the people that wanted us to pay £30m for Troy Deeney. We don't even play a 10. We got Hermansen, Mavididi and Winks for less than the price of Szmodics. Fatawu is going to cost us less than Szmodics probably will. Do you want us to go straight back down? I mean, I'd have him for his actual market value - ~£5m. But beyond that? Get ****ed.
  22. It seems daft going out of your way to recruit from someone who has seen first hand how Pep and Txiki work and then just ignore his advice tbh.
