I'll bet you a £20 donation to FoxesTalk it isn't Oscar ****ing Garcia. I don't know why you're obsessed. We barely use OHL at all as any kind of prep ground for Leicester. They're run pretty much as two separate clubs besides the odd loan. Garcia's CV is garbage, he's not coming here. He's exactly the sort of coach a lower mid table Belgian side with little to no upwards mobility would sign, sure. He not coming to Premier League Leicester City.

This is pure copium tbh. Mckenna had already had a year at Ipswich, was entrenched with his squad and had confidence and momentum on his side. That Enzo came straight in and immediately broke records with us with little effort with the squad having been sapped of all confidence and morale by Rodgers is frankly remarkable. I think it's really sad that the incompetence of Rudkin and Co will see Enzo leaving after a year and the fans will probably blame the manager for a lot of it and it'll sour how he's viewed here because thy he's been absolutely exceptional.
-
Potter almost certainly won't want the job, not sure why people keep bringing him up. De Zerbi 10000% won't. His next job will be for a club in Europe, there's zero chance he comes here. It'll be an out of work manager who has recently managed a Premier League team or it'll be someone from the Championship. Expect a shortlist of Corberan, Rosenior, Carrick along with maybe another assistant manager or two from the Big Six and some obscure name out of work like Carlos Carvalhal or some shit that nobody wants before we just go with the first name that was mentioned, Corberan. Oh and Will Still is being eyed up by Sunderland having been let go for winning one out of his last fifteen odd games before everyone starts yapping about him.

This is a fair point tbh. The second Enzo is out the door I'd be informing Vestergaard the contract extension isn't coming. Unless we're going to sign a manager who intends to play exactly the same way, I absolutely don't want him on the books for the new year.
-
You don't speak for me.

Yep. This. The financial draw of the Premier League will always make it plausible for us to go and recruit coaches from the rest of Europe's top five leagues that are knocking on the door of the Champions and Europa Leagues in their own countries but can be picked up by a mid table side here.

There was a long standing meme in English football about the same selection of managers taking it in turns to manage clubs at the bottom of the Prem. Allardyce, Hodgson, Pardew, Sparky, Arry, etc. But when you think about it there's a similar cadre of elite managers just doing the rounds at Europe's top clubs. Guys like Tuchel, Ancelotti, Pochettino, just kinda doing laps of the big clubs getting hired and fired. Gets to a point where there's only so many you can hire. At some stage it's worth it for clubs like Bayern and Chelsea to take a punt on a next big thing. Don't really see that it's that surprising. They either hire someone they know has a long history of being mid table or they take a chance that a young manager is something special. Don't think it's that weird.

Unless they have release clauses, their value, especially so close to the start of their contract, is whatever we determine it to be. Harry Maguire and Wesley Fofana absolutely aren't £80m footballers, Danny Drinkwater was never worth forty odd. The flip side of that is that James Maddison for £35m or whatever it was is unbelievably good business. It's just about the strength of your negotiating position. You're probably right, 50 is an exaggeration, but the point is the same. If we hold out for significant profit I don't have a major issue with selling. Especially Hermansen, whose value is significantly higher to a top team than it is to one just looking to survive.
-
This only worries me if the club under estimates his value. If Maresca immediately wants to take Winks or Hermansen because he sees them as essential to his system, we have to be turning around and saying fine, but we know that and they've both got four years left so that's £50m each. If we sell Hermansen for something like 45m in profit, which is what he's probably worth, after having him for a year? I'm not too mad about that. He's an incredible keeper that's destined for big things but he won't be anywhere near as important to us in the Premier League without Enzo as he was in the second division with him. He's a goalkeeper for teams that are going to dominate possession. I'd swap him for a strong shot stopper that's four or five inches taller and costs us a middling fee tbh.
-
This chart is comparing him to Attacking Midfielders and wingers (hence how he's in the ~90th percentile for all of his defensive stats) which he definitely isn't. He considers himself more of a defensive midfielder, it was Rooney that tried to get him to play further forward but at best he's box-to-box. In which case:

Wait. Sorry. .... You think Enzo gets Romano to tweet for him? You seriously believe that? Romano is a social media content creator who is just producing content. It's literally his job. There are frequent, regular updates because every single time he does it gets a mountain of retweets, replies, likes, etc. It's the next Chelsea manager, it's one of the biggest stories of the summer. He's not promoting Enzo, he's not promoting any particular manager, he's just spamming messages to make revenue. It's his job. If he does post about Enzo more than Mckenna it'll only be because Leicester has a much bigger social media following than Ipswich.
-
Think this is a pretty bad take tbh. They're just getting pelters back because they handed out so much throughout the season. Nobody's obsessed with them, it's just funny they've lost after giving it the big ones for most of the year. Literally nobody will give a shit about Leeds next year. Or even next week.
-
Now comes the mass exodus as Leeds have to sell all their best players to avoid massive financial issues.

Major Wembley final and Russell Martin turns up dressed like a villain from Hollyoaks.
-
Southampton fans must be delighted to turn on the broadcast and hear the truly impartial views of Don Goodman yeah.
-
We're all David Brooks aren't we. What a story if a cancer survivor turns it back around to relaunch his career with a play off winning goal. Nothing to do with it being against Leeds at all 👀
-
It seems fairly certain at this point that we've messed him around a bit and the Chelsea job is a better prospect. Not bitter about him looking. Don't think it's fair at this point to question his professionalism.
-
It's not covered by FFP. Losses to do with infrastructure don't count. But match day revenue does, so FFP is actually a reason to expand the ground as we as a club are hugely reliant on what we make on game days. As long as the club and owners are actually in a fairly strong financial position it'll probably still happen.

Just booked a week in Salento. Staying in a village just north of Gallipoli. First actual proper trip to Italy tbf. Looking forward to it. Close to Nardo which looks nice as does Lecce.
-
I think you have to be very naive to not believe that Enzo has been to Chelsea and been interviewed. If he's their first choice, I think it's pretty obvious he's going at this point.
-
It's just an article saying he's dropped from 40/1 to 8/1. Which doesn't make him the favourite. And has been said multiple times over the years, odds on next manager mean **** all. Just means someone's bet on it.
