  1. Over the years I've had breakdown cover with RAC, Green Flag and the AA This should tell you all you need to know about the AA In Sept I was in West Sussex 40 miles from home and hit a pothole that not only wrote off the nearside front type but also there was damage to the suspension (although didn't know at the time) Car is BMW 3 Series XDrive This happened at 7pm - remember that Guess what... there was an AA Van not 50 yards away helping a chap with a faulty lock. How lucky am I! I walked over the the AA bloke. Who's response was "I can't help you because I only do breakdowns and accidents, you'll have to ring to report your problem I rang AA...We are busy, and can't get to you until midnight Then I get a text, we'll be with you at 8:15pm, then a follow up 8:45pm Nothing happened so I ring and got this response "sorry we can't get anyone to you until midnight" 11:55pm an AA van turns up - The same van and AA bloke that was 50 yards away at 7pm! He takes the wheel off and identifies further damage but he can't do anything as my car is 4WD and Auto and can't be towed. In any event he was going off shift He says we will need to get a tow truck to you, he notifies the control centre 1:30am AA ring me, can't get a tow truck to me. They will get a taxi to me and pick the car up tomorrow (I had to hide the key) The AA order a taxi from Gatwick which takes 1:30hrs to get to me 3am the taxi arrives. To complete the experience the taxi driver drove like a complete lunatic, driving far to fast on minor roads regularly overshooting corners I get home after 4am I completed a scathing online survey at the roadside for the AA bloke at 12am The AA sent me another one a few days later which I was happy to complete with the same horror story You would think that being kept at the roadside from 7pm to 3am (8hours) might prompt them to investigate further..... of course not, The best service I've had has been Green Flag. They are owned by Direct Line Parafox if you would like to DM me with your policy details I'm meeting the acting Claims Director for Direct Line Group on Thursday this week. I will happily sort your issue for you.
  2. That's David Essex right there
  3. Same here... Eastbourne is a long way from Stoke!
  4. "Muss cull" according to Enzo
  5. Enzo is supposed to be a grown up isn't he? Surely he's got past the stage of a needed to make a point with 2 GK's. That's totally juvenile... this type of tactic never worked for me in any job I've done. Now I manager a business I wouldn't take to kindly to an employee making a gesture of this nature. What an opportunity to give a younger player a reward who may have done particularly well in the U21's or in training. A good question for Owen PA to ask him after the match.
  6. I'd be pinning this one up on the dressing room wall right about now if I was Danny Rohl
  7. Explodes I'd say
  8. ha ha but hardly a surprise, surprise is it. Rumoured to have a sign on the door "Step Inside Love"
  9. Frank Worthington, Steve Walsh, Jamie Vardy are the legends of my lifetime supporting Leicester, and for sublime moments of skill, turning round an extremely difficult start and for being one of the most loveable, humble and top human beings then I'm adding one Kelechi Iheanacho to my personal hall of fame!
  10. Inside out Left back in the changing room Brendan is an elite manager
  11. Beware the crafty potters! 13-0 I think
  12. I'm not Khao Tao ing to anyone! We wear what we want, We're Leicester City we wear what we want!
  13. What I can't understand is the injury happened pretty early in the first half, JJ was sent out to warm up, but CD played on! It was pretty clear this was a knee injury as Doyle was massaging it. To my recollection no trainer/physio came on. Nevertheless I was pretty sure he'd have to come off and was very surprised when he played on for I guess at least another 25 minutes!! Whilst I'm no physio I'd like to bet that playing on in this way for nearly half an hour has done the kid absolutely no favours at all. You don't have to take risks these days with a) JJ to cover and b)5 substitutes allowed. Baffled
  14. I've nothing against most of the players who are moving on. Barnes will get a good reception whenever he comes back, as should Maddison. Youri won't, neither will Castangne. If Kels goes we'll love him wherever he ends up. Seniorman, top guy forever humble. Daka I suspect will be meh from the fans, but he's clearly a decent individual and we should wish him well if he goes.
  15. This.... Whilst lots people on here think they can manage the football club better than the incumbents, no one is stupid enough to risk the best start we've ever made to a campaign, in a season that is so important to get back to the Premier league, by selling strikers for £15M with no replacement when £130M minimum is at stake for getting back in.
  16. The only time he played CB he put in a performance worthy of Javier Mascherano in a 4-1 victory over Watford Jan 2022. Never to be repeated by Brendon again. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-choudhury-mascherano-watford-6463114
  17. Coincidentally I showed this to my wife whilst on holiday a couple of weeks ago - she hadn't seen it before and could not stop laughing I saw Freddie Starr at Barry Young's Stardust - the amazing thing to me was a cabaret club built outside Coalville.. still can't get over that to this day and its been knocked down for a good few years now He was brilliant, a complete one off. Would never have a look in these days.
  18. Thanks @Bordersfox At the risk of over-punning He's fallen on his sword... "Best wishes for the future John, keep your clippings in a scrapbook" - Patrick Mower
  19. I accept the challenge.... Crack fun Man hung Honey bun Sac cum ... not sure this is anatomically accurate
  20. I was hoping he'd be more of a 70's heart throb type..... David Casadei Could it be forever?
  21. Love KDH, but any offer over £50M would have to be taken seriously and a deal would need to be completed in days to allow time to get replacements. I would not necessarily deny him a move to Liverpool. Remember when he had a blinder at home against them, Klopp came onto the pitch at the end and said "where have they been hiding you" On the other hand if he is the difference between promotion or not, then he's worth over £130M minimum to us
  22. At least we got one thing right recently. Pity Brendan wasn't turfed out soon the sod! We would be in clover now. Right bring on the rest of the puns...
  23. He was. I remember that for his height he had a great spring in his jumping and more often than not got to the ball ahead of taller forwards. He's had a very solid career and a sensible bloke as well.
  24. We've had a DS3, family owned since new. Totally reliable, Its a diesel and zero road tax. Cheap to service, Good looking, nippy and economical, leather seats, nicely appointed interior. I'd recommend these to anyone based on my experience. Petrol versions as well of course.
