    Ew, really?

A Dairy Milk piece inside two cheddar biscuits like a mini sandwich.
  2. Worth noting that China doesn’t want that kind of nonsense either. They’re already worried about the relationship between Putin & Kim.
  3. I didn’t see Outnumbered. I wondered whether I’d be missing something. It seems not?
  4. Nah. It’s one of the many things the far right and the far left share: What they do fails but their excuse is that it wasn’t done with enough ideological purity.
  5. Sorry; I didn’t mean to cause upset. I only meant it in a playful manner.
  6. I’m worried about it now. This sounds like the start of a whole new trend.
  7. Why does that grind your gears? Surely it’s far worse if they start bunging their shopping on the belt without the divider?
  8. I’m not quite sure what you mean by this, but if you mean selfish pr*cks at a supermarket checkout who don’t put a divider after their shopping even when you’re right there behind them then I entirely agree.
  9. Those checks and balances need to work out first before South Korea can feel any pride in them. Even the best interpretation at this point has to be “Not out of the woods”.
  10. So many little jokes and puns.
  11. It’s not an answer I’m happy with, granted. But my reasoning is that “A” identifies one whereas the other words are all in multiples, then all the words are names relating to (or arguably following) “Christmas”, then “Carol” is the name that the arrow is pointing at. But if anyone has better I’ll happily be overruled.
  12. It’s not simply “A Christmas Carol”, is it?
  13. She threatened to pull out of the set and advertising the film unless he changed his behaviour. It seems he did so, but then started a smear campaign against her as revenge. So now she’s calling him on it.
  14. Reading about the Blake Lively v Justin Baldoni stuff. So far I believe her 100%.
  15. I think there are clear signs that there’s going to be a battle between the Republicans and Musk - they’ve accepted Trump being the charismatic (?) leader of the party but an outsider with his ear? It feels similar to what happened here with Boris and Dominic Cummings - the rest of the Conservative Party wanted him gone, and he was ‘got’ in the end one way or another. Musk remains a very frustrating character to me. He could be great and leave a lasting legacy in pushing humanity forward to exploring space - I get the accusations that he’s a fraud but he could still be a leader, a driver and a figurehead even if they’re not his engineering ideas. Instead he spends his time messing around with Twitter because people hurt his feewings.
  16. I’ve always found it a divisive show. I’ve never quite known whether it was cool to love it or cool to hate it.
  17. Maybe I’m a little late to the party but it looks like the BBC’s been changing its description of him to something more accurate over the last hour?
  18. The difference between throwing milkshake and throwing acid is far bigger than the gap between throwing milkshake and doing nothing. She could have thrown acid; but she didn’t. She could have shot him where he stood but she didn’t do that either.
  19. Of course not.
  20. If I had to put money on the origin of these drones, I’d say China or USA. USA seems most likely to have the capability and could be testing out some new technology that they don’t want people to know about. China is a little more far-fetched but does make some sense, the idea being that they want to stop the West and Russia from doing anything crazy so are putting doubt in their minds, but also want plausible deniability so are doing it to their own bases too. Russia, on the other hand, tend to go these days with implausible deniability - ie, something happens, it’s obviously them, they say “it wasn’t us”, all the time they want people to know it was them regardless. This doesn’t fit that pattern. And I can’t see it being a European country being behind it. An underground group is possible but that would likely take a lot of individuals in on a secret. If it is that then surely at least one national intelligence agency will be onto that by now. Of course, you could always go with the theory that it’s time travellers from the future trying to prevent a war after their attempts at assassinating Trump all failed.
  21. I wanted him to win. Yes, it’s a dance contest, but it’s also an entertainment show. His dancing was very good - better than you’d expect of a blind person - and he was the most entertaining. So deserved winner.
  22. I’m convinced they wouldn’t because they’d understand how much that would damage the economy and turn people against them.
  23. Incompetent. And they still wouldn’t “sort out” immigration because they can’t in the way they prescribe. Instead they’d go for trans rights and try to whip people up against women like the Republicans in America.
  24. Rub sage over it?
