Next England Manager?
foxes_rule1978 replied to DJ Barry Hammond's topic in General Football and Sport
I’m going to go out there, and say Tuchel would be a great fit for this side. He would take the job too -
Carsley is a manager with a lot to learn, he is now taking on players who trained and are coached by the best of the best though… these are world class superstars. That alone is hard to just jump into, guess what players don’t naturally organise them selfs, spend time practicing certain tactics you want to employ. You need to enforce them and they they to be onboard. Again I’ll mention Southgate, no doubt had faults and didn’t get aggressive when needed, but he understood the principles

I wouldn’t take what england did tonight as an example of how to play attacking football. Rice was literally the only midfielder in the side… you can play with attacking players but it is about getting the balance right, you can’t just leave the whole of the midfield exposed so simple balls forward cause you a problem every time. Rice had zero support whatsoever -
Yeah, but you need a team

Yeah it was a setup that you will get away with against San Marino but any side with professional players no chance -
Not sure how we only lost by 1 Greece should have had at least another 5. Good for them good performance, but England, wow that was possibly the worst I have seen in a very long time. It was like watching a Sunday league game, no organisation, no one working as a unit. Just a disaster it was pure comedy at times

Absolute disaster tonight, totally outdone by simple balls. There was no organisation players running around mindlessly. Southgate may not have been the best for at least he knew how to get the team player as a unit. Sorry but that was schoolboy stuff and while I was willing to give Carsley a chance you can’t after that. I honestly could have had them organised better. No midfield, the defence just all over the place, the forward line didn’t know where to go. The 5 upfront just stepped on each others toes not one dropped back abit or even tried to give us any width -

I mean we should be beating these to be honest. Southampton look worse than they did last season. We had the much better team last season and that is still the case -
Glad he is wearing an outfit I like to hit the town in

Great to get our first win but man we made that difficult second half
-
Been hanging on this half, been so poor. It is Bournemouth not Man City ffs
-
At home against Bournemouth and we are holding on here, it’s not good enough
-
2-1 defeat incoming… need to really get hold of this
-
That isn’t a foul he gets the ball just a strong challenge
-
Would have got their wobbly lines out from the worst possible angle
-
Not offside, should have scored… but looking good
-
Guaranteed
-
They are just trying to deduct our points by not given us any calls
-
Harsh but seen given, his arm looked outstretched

What a finish, lovely stuff

Leeds never fail to deliver, lovely stuff -
To be fair it was a huge shock he got the job
-
Starting to think the Mbappe signing has disrupted things at Real, was he what they really needed I don’t think so. Just trying to fit all those players in up front is an headache
-
Group stages where certainly better, can already tell
-
Bayern lots of the ball, but done nothing really, villa have defended brilliantly and been dangerous on the counter. Kane totally been taken out the game
